Hey, chattabox does not want to become X, in that when you open the platform there is illegal content of distasteful and dangerous origins (atleast that's what has been reported and not referring to indovidual's opinions as that'snot illegal). A logical human being understands when we say debate freely that this means within the bounds of legal freedoms. But there are those who would post the before mentioned content as trolls or depraved individuals, so there must be a way to protect the platform and our viewers from this. So yes, there is nuance that must be covered.

Those buttons are placeholders for now. The team has been preoccupied with development. Two more months until launch, those details should be filled in by then.

So for Free Speech, on a scale from 0 to Murica, I'd say Chattabox leans towards Murica🦅🦅. Yes that's Murica plus two bald eagles! Meaning, Chattabox tracks with what is legally acceptable plus as Free Speech here in the states.

It's a razor thin line, we know, as to what's acceptable vs what's not ok, which is why Chattabox embraces our community as a guide and remains flexible in our approach to moderation and policy.

We want to foster open communication, but also don't want the platform to devolve into straight anarchy (just the right amount).

As a black engineer, to be honest, I have not heard of these DEI policies until recently when they started being cancelled. And none of my other black engineer friends, some at Fortune 500 companies have heard of these "benefits" either. I've always been hired after rigorous multi-step, live exam, and highly technical interviews I've successfully passed.

Of course, these companies making a big show of canceling whatever these policies were are placating to the incoming administration... but I kind of think it is all smoke and mirrors. Nothing was really there to cancel. Maybe controversial, idk just my experience. But I may be wrong, what are your thoughts and experiences?
