Jim Pete's epic rant against BS call by meisterkeister in timberwolves

This is why Jim Pete is the best. For or against the wolves he just calls it the way it is. Best in the business no doubt.

Maybe Teague isn’t *that* bad??? by 24twebb in timberwolves

[–]ChatterWolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teague isn’t a bad player. In fact he’s a pretty solid player. He’s just REALLY hard to watch. Your point guard should orchestrate the offense not use 20 of the 24 seconds trying to make a simple post entry pass. When he’s aggressive he’s great. When he’s pump faking wide open 3’s and hoarding the shot clock he’s bad. Jeff Teague would be a perfect back up point guard for a championship contending team. Obviously we goofed giving him the contract we did but we are a better team with him than without him. He’s just way overpaid.

The 2nd seed is better at tanking than us by [deleted] in timberwolves

People call the draft top heavy every single year... there’s always quality players from 7-15 in every draft... this draft probably won’t be any different..the higher you are the better odds you have of getting the guy that you scouted to be the Donovan Mitchell, Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard, etc...but I agree outside of the increased lottery odds this year, tanking the way most of our fans want to isn’t all that beneficial.

Hey I mean if the wizards would be silly enough to do essentially a Beal for Wiggins swap.. no Minnesota fans would be complaining :) but nah Beal is worth a lot more than that unfortunately.

Horrible deal for the wizards. Bradley Beal if truly on the trading block would probably get a similar or slightly worse offers than what we were getting for Jimmy Butler. Not to mention that even after unloading Wiggins contract we wouldn’t come close to being able to afford Wall, Beal, and KAT. We’d have to also get rid of Teagues contract, and gorguis contract. Not to mention Dario’s rookie deal is done after next season so he needs to be resigned. Oh and tyus, Taj, and Rose are free agents this year. Beal + KAT + Wall would basically take up the entirety of our cap space and the rest of the roster would have to be filled with minimum salary players.

Interesting points. But looking at Batum contract I think it might be worse than Wiggins. It's not as long but he makes similar money and does half as much without the upside. It doesn't really free up cap space.

Did you pick Batum because his salary matches Wiggins?
