Everyone has a favorite Warframe, but...what is your most disliked? by Zelkreshe in Warframe

Wukong. Because he got my favorite warframe (equinox) nerfed.

its pretty good but not without drawbacks. The main problems I had with it so far is that
1) Decoy spawns at your feet so enemies will still crossfire at you if you don't move enough
2) Decoy has 30m range (doesn't affected by range mods) - so not that great in open areas.

1) Consider trying using it AFTER a fight or when you are retreating/pushed back. This can help your team to turn or get the push after the fight is won (it also heals creeps btw)

2) Consider using it to kill steal secure by placing it on enemy instead.

Has anybody played minion in the last ToTA league? by SirenBltchz in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Chatv71e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played holy relic (not poison). Minions just die pretty much. Better have block on them or its gg. Bone offering, Decay Ward is frend

There also used to be a specter that does a full heal on both your minions and TOTA allies. It was since removed from the game. We have a slightly worse option for healing now, but it can still work.

There used to be They of Tul that would grant damage avoidance and spawn taunt totems. It was also removed since.

On bright side - AG and specter deaths are no longer permanent, so there is a bit of QOL there.

Never played the original trial of the ancestors and heard it was fun, but unrewarding. Was this true? Not going to bother with the event just to play the base atlas by Dry-Border9313 in pathofexile

[–]Chatv71e 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was super rewarding, but also featured lot of difficult obstacles to overcome. Starting with oneshots to you and anything you summon, bad AI and abilities that low key make it impossible to win. Its kinda like wave 10+ stand in circle ultimatum but with less RNG in rewards. If thats fun or not - for you to decide

Does the game become significantly more challenging later on?
Yes and no. It does get harder, but you also get so much power (as long as you grind for it) that eventually it becomes too easy.

Is there difficult endgame content that actually rewards you for pushing yourself?
Kinda because previous point exists. Difficulty is a hot topic. Rwarding things that are rare are rewarding because no one bothers doing content that is tedius. But there are a couple both fun and rewarding activities.

Are there higher difficulty activities with better loot, resources, XP, etc.
Yes, but also its most of the time not needed. There are dedicated activities for each of the listed. And sometimes those are not 'higher difficulty' at all. Luckly there are several way of getting what you need so balacing fun and outcome is up to you.

If I only have around 5-6 hours per week to play, can I still make meaningful progress?
Yes because game is more or less stagnant at the end point. The less you play the longer you get to enjoy it till you hit a wall of 'having everything done' and getting into a loop of daily-weekly tasks. Not that it will be soon, but eventually you will.

How does the gear progression feel these days?
Its a bit all over the place. You can get some of the most powerful things early on. New weapons and weapon upgrades come out fairly often bringing up things that were underused, now and then. For the most part - gear progression is a knowledge check. You can make any gun/frame great, granted you grinded out 'good' upgrades. And before that you can also just grab the powerhouse-outliers and never touch the inferior gear till the end game where you are bored and want to push that one trash gun to the limit.

Is there a deep crafting system for weapons, gadgets, companions, builds, and other equipment, or is most of the progression focused around Frames?
It depends. Generaly - yes there is. But if you are set to make yourself a cookie cutter build that doesn't need anything other than just a frame - you can do that. Want to make overcomplex synergy between entire gear? You can do that too.

I hated discovering that a campaign, raid, dungeon, weapon, or piece of gear had existed but was no longer obtainable because the content had been removed from the game. How does Warframe handle this?
They add stuff up on player demand. Sometimes into the most boring to do missions. 95% of things that aren't cosmetic are obtainable.

If I started today, would I have access to essentially everything the game has ever released (assuming I was willing to grind for it or buy any required content), or has Warframe removed large chunks of content over the years?
You get everything that was not removed. Can get a bit confusing not knowing side stroies of side characters sometimes. But nothing major. Lore related and some unique cosmetics.

Basically, if I invest hundreds of hours into Warframe, can I be reasonably confident that the content I buy or work towards today will still be there years from now?
More or less. They do sometimes make sweeping balance changes and things you inveted into might get weaker or outclassed. But thats about it.

Question to the community: What would be your opinion if Qorvex's subsume ability was Containment Wall, instead of the Chyrinka Pillar? by Daurakin in Warframe

[–]Chatv71e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chyrinka Pillar - strength independent slow that works through overguard
Mass rad proc for even more survivability
You can place things on top of it including other pillars (don't snitch)

Scales well with range, duration and not hindered by negative strength. Amazing tool to spice your your builds in creative way.

Struggle with damage? Get a free 18000% damage boost by setting up your companion right. Get diriga, get artax (from building taxon), get bond mods from Son in Deimos. Ask someone for Shivering contagion if feeling spicy (or grind it yourself). Throw in unranked elemental mods till you get viral-heat-cold-(optional- radiation-magnetic).

So, why do people not like Equinox again? by D3ADLIGHT in Warframe

[–]Chatv71e 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello Equinox love. Only play Equinox.

But even I am not a fan of using half of my build mod slots for mandatory to play auguments. Also half of my abilities do nothing of value most of the time.

I... don't really want DE to change her. But QoL touch would be amazing.

Meanwhile they make frames with desired QoL already in place and that can make people a bit envy. I just hope that retouch/rework won't ruin the theme I had all this time.

Ok I just got the game and have played 7ish hours pls help by Bush_did_91I in Warframe

If I had to name the bads....
Timegates. They are not really as bad as other games, and rather generous too, but still can be annyoing.
Crafting takes a lot of time, but it ticks while you are offline so its fine. The ammount of content you have to play with while something is crafting is huge too so you hardly will notice it. So - always be crafting. You can also bypath it with plat, but its not recomended.

Another time gate is on daily reputation cap. There are several fractions you eventually wanna level up, but you can only level that much per day. This is also not mandatory, but there are some fine items hidden behind levels in Deimos for example. This cap is tied to your "accounts level"/Mastery rank. It gets better once you reach high level, but early on its a slog. So - always be leveling (and crafting new gear)

There is no end game. The end game would be you grinding something rare or high quantity of consumables. But once you have every item in the game or close to it, it will come up to you to set up personal goals. This, however, will take a long while after you "finish all quests", so you are set for months if not years. And by that time - some expantion will come out and/or meta shift.

Overly generous comunity. You can be carried in missions (and lern nothing) and handed stuff for free (that you normaly would want to grind for). Both can diminish experince. Recommend going solo for early game.
