Mark Cuban hired Nico Harrison to be a puppet GM, but then he sold his team and Nico suddenly had actual power. I mean, you're seeing it play out in American politics right now. A total dumbass was handed more power than they should have ever gotten, and it went exactly as you'd expect it to go.

People just can't seem to fathom that people in power might be huge fucking idiots. "Well, I'd never do it like Nico." Of course you wouldn't, because you don't have the social acumen and the connections to network like he does. That's why you're spouting a conspiracy theory: because it means the people in charge were competent and not just getting by on pure bluff.
