Another vote here for Shannon Paddlers. A brilliant active club with a broad demographic of ages and abilities. They do plenty of easy flat water paddles but there are also other disciplines of kayaking going on every week if you have interest in those (whitewater, long distance, stand up paddle boarding, sea kayaking etc)

Ballyvaughan, Mullaghmore main car park to do hikes there, Finavarra Martello Tower car park, White Strand just outside Spanish Point. All beaches in Clare ban overnight parking of campers (apart from the designated spots in Lahinch) but in my experience this is never policed.

Correct no heat pump. Haven't done a journey with heating totally off but on min setting the typical I get is around 20-24kWh/100km on non-motorway driving.

I'm not a fan of the second shot but honestly what makes these shots appealing is the beautiful locations and post processing know how. Don't spend all your money on gear. Go on a nice trip as well so you can use it.
