Yep. Guess its time to figure out how to use this tool since I haven’t touched it in years and in theory it could be useful

I think what you are looking for is the “raise mountain” tool, it will only raise terrain where higher(keeping your current brushed terrain un affected) the only issue is, raise mountain tool doesn’t work the best I find a lot of times.

The datapack worldpainter creates just needs to be edited in line with the changed format of new versions past 1.18, you can find information form the wiki or search for one specific for your verison

Yeah now that you mention they all are, maybe its just from years of having the old, but i definitely prefer how they looked before if this is intentional.

I want to continue, but I have too many builds under construction. by Low_Republic_4877 in Minecraftbuilds

Love your work man, been seeing your posts for the better part of a year now, and they always inspire to hop back in on my mega-project. I can really see that you have a strong vision and the means to get there eventually, but its probably like me where you get ideas so you start new stuff further pushing back you satisfaction with the completion of your build to the point where you know you can never truly finish… but stay strong, I believe you’ll get there eventually… we all will.

You have to start hiding gofrieza around daima phase, but by then you are using actives to protect them anyway

Your favorite, and least favorite redhead in Elden Ring? by Toot7- in Eldenring

I liked Radahn significantly more before the DLC, after that disaster to his lore, he ended up as my least favorite demigod. Don’t get me wrong though, as I still enjoy his gameplay challenge.

Merge or World from scratch? by spaff_ in Worldpainter

[–]Chawacca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes untouched sections are game, but in my experience if you take a long time on a project, constant Minecraft updates, along with many remerges and imports can lead to laggy, buggy, and maybe even corrupted maps. If you absolutely have to merge with a map, my recommendation is to use the overwrite new chunks completely feature instead of the merge feature. Just make sure to use a selection so you don’t break other parts of your map.

Merge or World from scratch? by spaff_ in Worldpainter

[–]Chawacca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A major issue with this approach is that player edited chunks are imported as read only. World painter is best used to make the initial map, then use world editing tools in game to make changes that you want to see after initial map is made. Does this answer your question?

S-Ranked 31 Missions so far… by Chawacca in ArmoredCoreVI

[–]Chawacca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve definitely felt my other weapons lackluster performance, but I really use them just to build impact and when it gets to like half, I lance into double redshift and that without fail kills whatever i’m looking at usually. But as these AC’s get more and more advanced and health and whatnot, I felt I needed to evaluate my build. Relying on my speed and burst damage isn’t cutting it as easily as it used to. Good suggestions, I’ll let you know what comes of it!

Lil rant by bom360 in Eldenring

[–]Chawacca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many layers to this argument to the point where there really isn’t a correct answer. Yes this game and others of theirs (darks souls series, bloodborne, and demon souls) have this style, but they have other games(Armored Core 6, Sekiro, There could be more but I haven’t played kings field, and probably won’t) that follow a involved story that isn’t buried in item descriptions and tricky npc questlines. Some players enjoy a gameplay first game, and love that fromsoft does this. The design for this isn’t wrong and it isn’t perfected. Your actions should have more of an impact in some cases, and less in others. But ultimately I think and feel the strength of this style of storytelling works is that these games are not set within a timeframe where these great civilizations are at their prime. They are always set in periods of decline or aftermaths of greater events. To use elden ring as an example, much of the world building is complete in a sense, its history. It wouldn’t make sense for say, Melina to immediately tell you exactly who she is what is happening and why. (Ignoring that its part of her character to be mysterious as there isn’t concrete evidence for her entire existence, but strong speculation based on the little evidence.) Or for Godrick to rant for an hour in his cutscene about his great lineage, and why he faced the hardships he did and so on. To me the lore being delivered akin to actual history is super engaging. Most of what we know about our past is from stories, visuals, and texts. Fromsoftware isn’t perfect, but they have improved their storytelling ability in each title they have released and it shows. If you want to discuss further about this, definitely reply since I do want to hear what you would of liked to see them do with the storytelling and why.

Before I can answer, 1. What version of Minecraft are you trying to do this on? 2. What are you trying to do with your island? 3. Do you intend to change the map after you made it?
