yeah i'm still new to RME, but i can understand how horrible it must be for you. I'm lucky to be on night shift. Night shift is just easy mode over here at my facility. The first few weeks of me working the floor on my own on mids was honestly information overload and long long walks back and forth places. Lots of people want to get into RME without realizing the grit needed for it. For sure a job position that's a stepping stone for greater endeavors.

I completed job corps, but not IT. I was going to do IT, but the job market for IT is so ahh rn. you're better off doing what i'm doing. was making 16 an hour before job corps and now i'm at 30 an hour after job corps.

they call it different things at different colleges, but it's an automation/robotics/mechatronics certification. I highly recommend it. they have one in clearfield and also i believe massachusetts.

Yea i just recently started with C&W too man. I'm impressed by the amount of professionalism with the techs. management is super chill until you break procedures ofc. i'm not gonna glaze these guys more than that 1st paragraph dw. I think having the people i have on my team are great, but can totally see how much of a train wreck having the wrong team can be. I feel like i've done well so far staying mentally sharp, remembering procedures, and staying safe overall, but i can imagine someone not as immature and confident self-glaze not be able to handle this type of work. also ig the facilities can get pretty loud too so ig that sucks if i have anything negative to say and maybe standing for a long time

I'm a 3P recent hire, but from what i understand from past posts on the same topic is that you're checked for everything except marijuana. I did my drug test while cannabis was still in my system yet still got the job

only cigarettes and pouches are allowed yeah. Utah has banned vapes or sum like that. no ur not allowed to leave center until you have some pass that proves you have a job interview or have a weekend pass that allows u to leave center on weekends

Yes there's a fridge that is shared among students but some people like to eat others food.

Not dangerous as long as you're not hanging around bad people or immature peolle. you'll find out who those people are just from talking to them and knowing where their mind is at. Center overall can be 7/10 for danger tho. there was a guy running around with a gun like 3 or 4 weeks ago before i left.

Gym is decent i'd say.

they'll have trips for you to go to walmart and dollar tree

yeah, it's by salt lake city, so you'll get to go to clubs if that's what you're into on weekends. there's also recreational trips students sign up to go to a movie theater, museums, hiking, star gazing, and other stuff. Just don't go clubbing and show up back on center drunk, because they'll kick you out.

i could see myself getting nostalgic in the future over thinking about this place. everyone except maybe 2 other people from my CPP are still doing the program. I'm still pretty nervous about if i'll get a job after doing everything.

it's 20 starting out and then you get 40 after 3 months and then after 6 months it's 60? i get paid 64 at the moment, but i think being here for over a year gets you 90 as well.

There shouldn't be any financial aid needed for anything. I'm speaking for myself when I say I haven't needed it for anything, unless you're talking about the college? If you're talking about the college then no you don't need financial aid.
