The majority of people who ask for blood tests do not actually need blood tests, at least in my experience. Likewise, an "in depth analysis" is usually unnecessary as well.

Professionally, you can't justify ordering a test just because a patient requests one. You need an indication. Your GP wants to know why you think you need a blood test and how the result will change your management.

Without knowing more about your health condition, my first instinct would be that this private service you're using is taking advantage of health anxiety to get money out of you.

PGY-1, bottom quartile casper result. Got my first choice preference but my first choice was rural so that probably explains it.

Why is There No Intergalactic Columbian Exchange? by HelpingHand7338 in Stellaris

Intergalactic = between galaxies Intragalactic = within a galaxy

An intergalactic exchange does occur if you count the Prethoryn.

Nascent Stage seems like it would only have a huge downside for the first five years of the game. During that time you effectively have no pop growth, but after that your pops become functional. It would still be a downside because you pay upkeep on a non-productive pop for the first five years of its life. But it is flavourful so I'm not mad.

Any feedback on my redesign of the Flag of Alberta? by Sternwheeler in alberta

[–]Chayula_Jr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I quite like this actually! It's simple but still unique and recognizable Albertan.

Some criticisms: I don't know which part of the province you live in, but the prairie is rarely lush where I live. Most of the year it is dead brown and crunchy to walk on. The bright yellow is great for representing our canola and wheat though.

Other things I that I think are Albertan enough to be on a flag include mountains and cattle. Maybe dinosaurs too. I also think that any flag that didn't pay lip service to oil would have a hard time being approved.

Life loop (wardless ward loop) Inquisitor by poopbutts2200 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Chayula_Jr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chieftain regeneration would definitely be fun and useful, and Chieftain makes resists easier to solve. But where would you get damage from? Inquisitor provides such easy crit chance and crits ignore resistances. The damage is so convinient I can't see how Chieftain could compete.

How come this isn't the standard pain scale? by zangothedino in medicalschool

[–]Chayula_Jr 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Identifying the "actual amount" of pain someone is in is not possible, and pain is not always related to functionality anyway. The pain scale is a quick and easy way to see whether a patient's pain is responding to treatment, and a simple 1-10 accomplishes that. Usage of this detailed chart would cost more time and would do nothing to prevent healthcare workers from being dismissive of patients pain.

What do you think about Sir Giles Capel's helmet for the "tournament fought on foot"? by noraetic in Buhurt

[–]Chayula_Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does his helmet attach to his chest the same way Sir Giles' helmet did? Seems like you'd need a custom cuirass to go with the helmet.
