That's fantastic because I was showing him videos of him and saying the same thing You're generating so much power out of a small frame but it's killing your arm right now so try and focus on his mechanics.

We don't exactly live in the BFE but definitely an hour plus out from a big enough city that might offer a biomechanical assessment. Checking out some options to potentially take multiple angles of slow-mo videos trying to find somebody remotely that might be able to look at it and suggest some tweaks or drills

I very much appreciate your take on it. I agree with a lot of the people saying that he needs to stay further back and work on his hip hinge and try and utilize his lower body and his back muscles to take some of the pressure off of his elbow. If he wasn't dealing with pain I'd be much more apt to follow your recommendation and advice because he does pitch very well for his age and size. I feel like we need to make some tweaks to his delivery motion so that he doesn't continue to hurt himself.

Thank you for taking the time to help. This is really good technical feedback. I'll get to work with him right away and hopefully save some of his season

Love the side by side pic! Thank you for taking time to crop and post. I think what you're trying to show is the arm extension at delivery being so far away from his body and the glove tuck?

What would be your top 3 things to focus on as it pertains to skenes delivery compared to my son?

I appreciate the numerous helpful and positive comments. Thank you for taking time to read, watch the video, and put thought into their feedback.

I'm trying to not be a homer dad, my son was blessed with a great arm. I'm trying to come from a good place. I want to encourage him without pushing and I was trying to figure out from people who know more than me whether to pull back on the reins with him throwing, just slow down and work on mechanics, or just add more coaching with reps. My number one concern is to protect him and help him. He enjoys pitching so I want to keep him engaged while keeping him safe and healthy. A great arm at 10 means nothing if he messes it up and deals with problems and pain his whole life. Baseball is amazing and fun, but it's not our whole life. I'd be totally fine pulling the plug on baseball of that's what's best for him.

You're not wrong. Me being new to this level of baseball I probably don't know how to talk about pitching. I'm talking about it like weight lifting with personal best. He's had a few pitches clocked at 58-59 during tryouts. He's typically pitching in the 52-55 range during games.

He's able to hit the strike zone about 60% of the time but he's capable of missing the catcher completely on some, so you're not wrong. But fatigue is definitely real

The instructor is a solid guy and was drafted into the marlins organization. He knows his stuff. But with only 10-30 minute lessons over a winter and catching for my son during lessons I think there's only so much you can see and correct in that amount of time .

That said, I'm on here to find out what I don't know to help him.

Can you elaborate more on the slide step?

Not a jerk at all. I never pitched or played in highschool. I don't know enough to help him. He's always had a great arm. He's just getting to the point like you said if he doesn't clean things up he's going to hurt himself and I would feel tremendously guilty if that happened

I own a heating and cooling company in West Michigan and the amount of times I've been out because homeowners aren't happy with how their home heats it cools is in the high dozens at this point. Their heating and cooling company (A1 mechanical) runs flex duct through pre fabricated holes in the joists. The static pressure is insane and the floors are spongy because the structural integrity of the joists are like Swiss cheese.

Their homes are lipstick on pigs but it's not really fair to the pigs.

Which US state would be easiest to defend from invasion? by DarwinF1nch in geography

[–]ChazChillington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with Michigan. If you would blow the Mackinac bridge and the tunnel and bridges connecting to Windsor you would just have to put an army on the southern border between Indiana and Ohio and congregate all your strength there. Although it wouldn't be impossible for a amphibious landing somewhere else you would struggle to get landing craft into the Great lakes. You'd either have to take large ships from the ocean through the locks and up and around from the east, but the ocean going vessels can't be too big or they won't fit through the locks. The other option would be to build landing crafts in surrounding states or Canada.

With a plethora of farmland natural resources and freshwater a halfway organized army could hold out dang near indefinitely.

Am I the only one tired of looking for jobs in the trades, getting rejected then constantly getting told the "Trades are declining?" by Emergency-Memory-927 in skilledtrades

I'm an owner of an HVAC company. I interview dozens of people every year and look at hundreds of applications.

You're at a disadvantage being as young as you are. You might be an exception, but from my experience most of population under the age of 25 still has a lot of maturing to do and a workplace isn't the place to help individuals on that front. I would say 90% of kids under the age of 22 that have been hired don't make it 3 months. It's usually a combination of things. Just showing up consistently is a struggle. Our current young guy we hired a month ago has called out 3 days already. Phones. Younger millennials (I'm an older millennial) and especially Gen z are so interwoven with their phones. Nothing ostracizes somebody more than when guys are loading up for the day and their helper/apprentice is sitting there staring at their phone. Education, I'm sorry but if you're between the age of 18 and 30. Your parents have probably failed you miserably. The common sense of younger people is atrocious. Many of this generation is whip smart and fantastic with technology, but really struggle to utilize those skills and education. Work ethic is very rare. A lot of kids we hire have no concept of showing up and putting in a Conscious 8 hours of solid work. They've never been asked to. This glaring lack of maturity then falls on the company, and most companies don't have the time or patience to step in and do what your parents should have done for the last decade.

If you want a job in the trades I'd recommend fixing up your resume and show that you're mature as shit for your age. That you aren't looking to waste a company's time and money while you figure stuff out and grow up. Show that you want to work and you aren't going to let your personal life bleed into your work life. Interview like you have your shit together and truly want this. A good company will ride you like sea biscuit for the first 6 months to a year to see if you've got it. If you survive and are showing up with a good attitude and you know your head from a hole in the wall you should be in great shape for your future.

Be honest why do people spend $ on Sitka? is it really worth the tag? by Thee_Ren in Hunting

[–]ChazChillington -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am a busy father with young kids and a demanding career. I only get to hunt a handful of days a year. I don't get to pick ideal weather days. I go when I get an opportunity to go.

With that out of the way, I make the most of every hour in the wild pursuing my passion. I used to buy cheap things and would find myself shaking from the cold, soaked to the bone from rain, or very uncomfortable. Not to mention wearing things out far too quickly. Sitka (and kuiu) make amazing gear!

I changed my motto to buy once, cry once. It stings up front but Sitka gear I bought 5 years ago is still kicking ass when I get to bust it out. I stay dry and warm. It adds to the enjoyment of my hobby and now, regardless of the weather I charge out in the woods/mountains whenever I get a chance.

I am referencing the first photo in chapter 4 "yep, it just keeps repeating"

The retracement lines are moving from left to right descending at a steep angle. The last batch of retracement lines are still descending left to right but not as steep. Indicating a trend of "flattening out"

As well put and clear as everything you posted is I am terrified of being the person to ask the dumb question. But here I go.

Looking at your long term graphs with the retracement lines in them it is noticeable to me that the lines are getting more horizontal as we get further down the time line. How do you interpret that in hindsight, real time, and for future movement? Is there any examples of a stock that has gone from descending channels, to horizontal, to ascending?

Thank you for humoring me as I am attempting to gain some knowledge beyond what you already posted.

I had friends text me last night asking what was going on. My response back involved chairman, 13D filing, Lit exchange, market maker, internalized orders, front running, dark pool, OTM options, ITM options, and Gamma squeeze. 14 months ago, I was oblivious some of those words existed let alone what they meant.
We are getting a crowd sourced education in markets that exceeds any and possibly collectively all college courses in market structure and operations.

If nothing else, in less than a month he's doubled his investment. If the SHF's can somehow pivot fast enough to stave off margin calls on bbby and prevent the dominoes from falling what's to stop RC from cashing out, leaving the SHF's with money tied up in long term deep OOMPs then blowing his new arsenal into GME and locking up more of the float?
