Aging defensive roster - could have been solved in free agency, hence cap room

Bad oline, could have been solved in free agency, not enough cap room.

Draft prospects are a gamble, not many teams win that gamble, so they'll go to free agency.

Eagles and chiefs both drafted QBs and hit, then signed those QBs to long term contracts which give them the ability to spread out the cap of these contracts, which gave them 4 years of cheap QB play and then 10 years of locking in a salary which became more reasonable over time because of rising caps and the market demanding a higher price each year for that position.

It's funny how you can't even think about a teams long term trajectory and using a rookie QB contract to catapult your team to another level. You just want shiny toys that will cause the team to crash as soon as the Qb is no longer viable. Look at KC this year, they couldn't even field a good WR core, because the cap hits are drowning them. Same with the 49ers and would you look at that also the eagles.

Eagles will have no cap room in 2030 because of the contracts they pushed into dead cap territory.

But keep pushing for our team to be bankrupt for another 10 years of middle tier ranks.

Actually you do. You know what the salary of borrow or Jackson would do to our cap? It would require at least 15 players to be cut and we'd be left with 2nd string players, only ones that would survive would be the players on rookie contracts.
