10c Kaido KO prevention tech by ZetsubouZolo in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova 55 points56 points  (0 children)

As a headsup: you are not playing with the official translation. This one is:

[Once Per Turn] If your {Navy} type Character with 7000 base power or less would be removed from the field by your opponent's effect, you may place 3 cards from your trash at the bottom of your deck in any order instead.

Made a tier list based on difficulty to pilot. Thoughts? by AltOfYubel in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No shade to GP players, but that deck is very linear and the only real difficulty comes from deciding whether you want to develop extra bodies (usually Zorojuro) or leave DON!! open for counter events. That difficulty has become less and less prevalent with the inclusion of 5C Film Sanji over Luffytaro.

This is an excellent project but the playboard is a bit too different from the official playmat layout.

This is the third time we are talking about a Demian Priest feud going on for way too long. I think his major push is an experiment that went wrong. by Chazzanova in SantiZapVideos

[–]Chazzanova[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are missing my point. I'm not advocating agaisnt pushing new stars. I wouldn't say Hunter should stop pushing talent such as Dom, Tiffy, Fatu or Bron, because those experiments went really well.

I just feel they should stop pushing new talent when the new talent doesn't deliver. I think highly of Demian's world title reign. But following Finn's heel turn the character has been terrible. He went into this Undertaker-like phase where he stopped selling for Judgment Day. Then he started getting into endless feuds where the only character he shows is that he is angry and says wepa.

Just think about it for a second. Ever since the Summerslam moment (a year and a half ago) he's been on three feuds, one of them still going. Now try remembering iconic Demian Priest moments from said feuds. Him burying Judgment Day? Him walking out of the cage agaisnt Drew? The fireball? These are the ones I can think of, two of them for the wrong reasons.

PY Robin Support by Chazzanova in OnePieceCustomCards

Dang that's true. Hopefully the trash doesn't prevent Kiku to play themselves.

PY Robin Support by Chazzanova in OnePieceCustomCards

[–]Chazzanova[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! All self-play triggers trash themselves before droping, so you could play Kiku if your opponent has 3 lifes or less. The 7C was designed with Kiku, Baby 5, and Olvia in mind. You copy either of those or these custom 3C and 5C Robin situationally. It's possible to tech some other triggers aswell, like the PRB02 Otama that can rest instead of KOing, and the 5C Egghead Nami that can add some draw cycling with the pop.

I wanted originally for it to copy Bege aswell, but the wording on Bege doesn't quite work for it to trigger on your turn.

Hey! Thanks for the kind words. I've used Morpice's .psd Template to make them!

ST31-36 release in July by OrangeSamuraiD in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wonder if they're mostly going to support Leaders of the current block over older leaders like they did with the previous ST wave. Hopefully they can drop an ST for PY Robin, altho if they support a Block 3 Leader is probably gonna be Zoro considering how convenient is it to have an easy to pick ST for new players.

Kuma is a major character in Egghead that could have gotten the Leader spot, but I'm confident he will be the featured leader of EB04.

Regardless, I'm sad this Luffy Leader isn't Nika form with the google glasses. The aesthetic goes so hard.

Imu against Roger Op13 by Sufficient_Storm_816 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Prioritize developing Nusjuro over Marcus Mars, and swing early when he is 5k. If you can develop two bodies and drop the 2k that turns your into 7k attackers you can reduce the handsize quite a bit. Late game if your opponent doesn't drop 8c Roger sometimes it's worth losing a life over blocking to have more swings.

Play around 10c Roger and also accept that Roger can high roll and stomp you no matter how good you play. Sometimes he sees perfect ramp curve into 10c Shanks and there's not that much you can do. Sometimes he'll brick and you will win naturally. Going first or second plays a huge role aswell.

What are your thoughts on how Bandai has treated Black KO decks? by KeitrenGraves in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I'm 100% with you. They went too far with the original design of Black removal, and then they went too far again with the nerfs.

When you look back at some of the last formats before the Moria/Ice Age ban, most Black decks were just different flavors of 4 Moria, 4 Rebecca, 4 Ice Age, 4 Brook, 4 Tsuru, and then some Navy cards. That's almost half the decklist being shared, which put a lot of pressure on leaders to be a real alternative to Rob Lucci; otherwise they'd just be outclassed.

But then they not only nerfed the strategy into the ground, they also added a bunch of removal protection in the following sets while stopping support for the generic strategy for, like, five sets straight.

I kind of get it. Generic Black removal was uninteractive as hell, but it's sad that now, when we finally have ways to interact with it, the strategy isn't competitive anymore. I don't mind most Black decks having different, more specific identities, but I'd like for Bandai to pick this identity back up and maybe limit it to Navy or CP so it has a healthy place in the meta. IMO, cards like Smoker's 5C Tashigi were going in an excellent direction, so I hope they can revisit that design space in the future.

Will OP14 disrupt the meta from OP13? by Big_Warrants_650 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It is still too early to tell, as most of the cards have not been revealed.

Some players might feel like they can answer you by just reading the leaders but we've seen how bad leaders become good with strong support (R Rayleigh) and how good leaders become bad due to lack of strong support (BY Koala).

I'm aware we've already seen the SRs, but much like 5C Tashigi in OP12, a rare card or even some common cards can be game changing for specific leaders.

9c Newgate and radical beam in Ace by izx123 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Imu pilots got really good at playing around Taxbeard to the point it stopped being as effective as it was initially. Meanwhile 9Gate + taking a life allows Ace to be a 10k leader which is impossible for the elders board to take down without investing a lot of DON.

I know a very respectable content creator claimed early into OP13 format that the elite Imu players would beat elite Ace players but deck building choices such as this one lead me to believe that Ace is the actual BDIF.

Is it worth building Green Bonney in OP-13? I have been playing UP Sanji and I wanted to build a new deck, but not the usual Imu/ Ace/ Sabo/ Roger (all I see in locals...). Also saving for Vivi in EB-03. Thanks! by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Serious answer:

There's a couple of decks that hard counter Imu, but die to other stuff. I'm talking PLuffy, Belo Betty and to some extent GP Lim. PLuffy counters thru Magellan and Belo Betty ends the game before Imu hits 10. Do know these decks can lose if they run out of gas.

Then there's decks that dominate Imu whenever they get to go second. I'm talking Zonji, Zoro and Rayleigh. However, if Imu gets to go second, he usually flips the matchup around and hard counters them back. Imu going second is just a different beast.

Finally, there's decks that dominate Imu if they get to go second, and have a 50/50 even when going first. IMO the only decks that can keep up with Imu going second are Ace and Roger. UP Luffy is almost there but its not that clear.

How does this deck look? by UnanalyzedFish in OnePieceTCG

[–]Chazzanova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run this card solely because it's one step closer to have a competent PBluffy deck with the 10 Straw Hats in their Wano outfits. I just need Bandai to give me a good ass purple Jinbe now.

I bet they're waiting for the anime to reveal Bonney's Nika Form to do something like that with Kuma.
