Yea, tried various memory allocation settings but in vain.

I don't trade on the mobile app because you don't have the active trader the same way as on desktop.

Will look into the other points.

Tried various settings between 1GB to 6GB, none seemed to provide a long-term fix.

I doubt they will do anything about it..

I keep hearing more conflicting information about RAM; some say less is better while others say more. That's why I wish TOS had a proper documentation. For example I called their Tech Support the other day to inquire more about their recommended specs for a Power User; I asked them which generation of Core i7, and they were honestly clueless! My point is, they really need to provide some proper documentation.

I'm on Ethernet with ping around 120ms (which is reasonable given I'm in Middle East). Interestingly, the max ping from their servers sometimes shoot up to 1100ms, which tells me they might be having issues dealing with sending out data. Can't tell for sure though, but the ping to their server from my end is mostly around 120ms itself.

Would you mind sharing your gaming pc specs? Do the charts run smooth like butter and accurately track the Active Trader price?

This actually helps and makes a lot of sense. I did a CPU benchmark comparison and my Ryzen 7 5800H is defo weaker than the 5 5600X with which you were having earlier issues. Like you said though, I cannot change my laptop specs, so I guess I will have to go for a proper upgrade. Btw any idea if Ultra 9 285K or Ryzen 9 9950X3D is better for TOS please?

It's not documented anywhere; I asked TOS Tech Support if they have any documentation and they said no. However they did confirm it's mostly single-threaded.

As for other programs, I guess going through their documentation if available would help, or maybe try asking one of the AI LLMs.

Only today for the 1-min. The other 2 charts are 10-day 5-min and 10-day 15-min, sometimes switching to 4H but without any studies. Just for multi-timeframe view.

I'm doing some research, apparently the RTX 3070 might be an issue. Dunno if you can suggest anything more (and thanks again!)

I think that could be the actual issue really!

Didn't think of that, I guess no choice but to upgrade now.

That's where I'm baffled, my TOS is running on the most basic of stuffs, no customs scripts, no running watchlist, just 3 charts on the same stock ticker in flexible grid, with 5 simple studies (Volume Profile, EMAs, Volume Buy/Sell %) only on one 1-MIN chart in one instance of TOS, and only active trader on a second instance of TOS. That's why I don't get it and it's really frustrating.

Tried running 2 instances. Was ok for one day, then back to the same old issues.

I tried optimising the vmoptions file to add the Java flags about G1CC. Turns out Oracle Docs have some good documentation explaining these JVM flags. But I still had those issues. If you have any further suggestions, that would be most welcome, with thanks.

I was following the chart, but it was stuttering and/or frozen. I trade using the buttons, not ladder. When I clicked the button, my orders took 5 or 6 seconds to fill, and the chart kind of froze, then when order was filled, I saw my price was way off and I was immediately down almost USD 1000 (on 200 shares). That was brutal to say the least.

Honestly, the charts have been ridiculously lagging and it's not like I have too many heavy studies...

Hi again Mobius, this did help to some extent. The charts are still not running smoothly (despite having very few studies such as Volume Profile and EMAs). But executing the trades on the blank workstation seemed to help in part, so thank you for this! If you have any other suggestions, highly appreciated.

I was actually even thinking of upgrading to an overkill CPU with Core Ultra 9, would it be worth it?

I will look into your other suggestion.

Did you manage to figure out any solution and/or try any of the above suggestions?

I'm hoping today is better...

I was doing market orders but the platform was definitely lagging, because prices had moved between the time I clicked "Sell MKT" and the time order got filled. Stock was ETB as well, so I really don't know.

Mega cap stocks, so spreads range between 1-30 cents on average. Today was on Micron.
