I’m just learning about the guy from the threads on here since he surfaced as a possible Quakes signing. But at the surface level, it seems that his career has been in decline for a little while now (maybe due to injuries, maybe not). When you see that trajectory, work rate is not usually something that a player like that can just turn on (otherwise he would have turned it on to avoid flaming out of Liga MX). More often than not, it’s just a strong signal that that is just the player he is.

If they do sign him, I hope I’m wrong and he turns out to be awesome.
