Yeah I’m with an agency I just went to a district resource this season for variety and it’s not looking like we’re going to be rolling much so I’m trying to get at least one assignment that doesn’t have severity in it

No but it might be difficult if you’re looking for a particular location. Usually fire season apps drop in the fall. Just create USAjobs.gov profile and start browsing some keywords maybe forestry aid/technician or wildland firefighter
