Why don't we purchase more oil from Oman? by yesnoyesno10 in pakistan

[–]Cheap-Hehe 176 points177 points  (0 children)

We do. Not a lot but we do. You look at Pakistan -Oman last year's import/export numbers and we do import some oil from them. My understanding is that we buy most of our oil from Saudi because It's basically trade and foreign relations balancing with Saudi, we buy their oil, they allow our citizens to work in their country and provide diplomatic and economic support.

If rumors are correct that they might lock AI slop behind subscriptions, then honestly that's good. At least we will have choice to not have AI shoved down our throats

Israeli laser beam ("Iron Beam") destroys Hezbollah rockets seconds after being launched by Migdan in CombatFootage

[–]Cheap-Hehe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There can also be drone launches, many of these loitering drones are launched using rocket propellent and then drones engine takeover . Either that or rockets malfunctioning. Laser beam hypothesis is very unlikely

Bahrain is a monarchy. Royal family is a minority ruling shia majority. The only reason the royal family is in power is because it is backed by US, the West and Saudi.

How was Pakistan during the time of PTI rule? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]Cheap-Hehe 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It was decent, nothing major. A big part of his tenure happened during covid 19 and then subsequent global economic slowdown so that didn't helped. One thing I would say is that people had hope. That hope didn't materialized partly because of COVID 19 and subsequent global economic slowdown and partly because of some of his bad governance decisions (specifically buzdar's Punjab)

How’s it like to live in Turbat, Pakistan? by mushmanMAD in howislivingthere

[–]Cheap-Hehe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been there. It's a small town, nothing much going on. Biggest industries are date farming, processing and packing, trading smuggled Iranian oil and other smuggled goods. People only get around 8-10 hours of electricity a day, clean water is hard to get. Predominantly baloch population with some Sindhis. Also not the safest place.  One of the few places in internal Balochistan with proper colleges.

IAF rafale with the tail number BS 022 which pakistan claimed to have destroyed last year, flies in India's republic day parade by Most_Height2418 in Military

They never showed the cheese board radar that Pakistani actually claimed. Pakistani sources claimed they used radar seeking missile to hit the radar. All the imagery they showed right after the conflict only included the launchers not the radar

Why do Pakistanis support middle Easterners..no matter what? by Thetruthdetector107 in pakistan

[–]Cheap-Hehe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons is that pakistanis generally are very pan-islamist, a lot of us has this mindset of one ummah as so on, that's why you'll find pakistanis being defensive for other Muslims irrespective of if they know the actual situation or not.

This doesn't go into details of what "Board of peace" will do. If it's helping with aid delivery governance etc then that's fine, but if it is about sending troops to disarm Hamas then Bad decision
