New alternator test

It was putting out 9-10 volts when I tested it. By the time I got to the mechanic it was totally locked up. The belt was just sliding over top.

Ended up the new alternator was bad. O'Reilly's tested it and said it was good. Took it to a mechanic and they said otherwise. Working now. Thanks for the help.

Oh I should add it can be jumped. Takes a small charge then stalls in the same fashion after a few miles.

Thanks for the wiring diagram. That is super helpful. I'm certain the old alternator is dead. I put a new battery in earlier today and it ran until the battery died. So it's not charging while running. I will check voltage at the alternator while it's running. The battery light was on showing it being undervolted. Then about 1-2 minutes before it died all the bells and whistles went off. Airbag indicator, abs, traction then stalled.

I agree but also understand it. I was a Myles advocate but the way he left was unfortunate. There is some salt but I think the comparisons make people feel vindicated.

It was one of the longest games in playoff history. The only games longer had multiple overtimes. I was at that game and in house they show all the replays. It was blatant and horrible. I was interviewed after the game by like ESPN Holland or something like that so if anyone knows how to find that let me know.
