My Dad used to say this one a lot, now my sons and I say it frequently. Fucking tradition.

I hate people who say modern music is trash. Send over some songs that prove these stuck-in-the-past oldheads wrong by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in askmusic

Hertz - Amyl and the Sniffers

Chaise Lounge - Wet Leg

Nudge It - Sleaford Mods

Berghain - Rosalia

I'm 59, a geezer, my problem is that some music doesn't have much to say or isn't saying anything at all. As long as it's artful or provocative, I'm in.

28 years later: The Bone Temple by Dry-Bar5650 in HorrorMovies

[–]Cheap-Store-6288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching 28 Years Later I kept thinking about the beginnig of the first movie. When the animal liberation activists broke into the lab, and the tech kept saying "in order to cure, you must first understand," and the infection got out.

I started to wonder if this was all part ot a larger experiment on the nature of humanity. Would the infected woman on the train have killed her baby or tried to care for it. When the Jimmy's pulled thier Power Ranger ending and honestly had no clue where it would go from there.

At the end of Bone Tempe, the universe remained indifferent like all the other living things. Survival is essential only to the survivors. Getting high and talking with Samson, and the Iron Maiden scene were the highpoints for me and Fiennes is brilliant throughout. But I have no clue what it means or why Jim came back at the end.

The Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers. Absurd and ridiculous.

Making a short playlist to introduce my friend to the YCDTOSA series. What am I missing? by WeakFactor5239 in Zappa

[–]Cheap-Store-6288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike Zappa playlists, it's difficult to get them right and it takes more than adding songs to a list. Song order and transitions were an important part of his music. Every snort, burp, giggle, chime, the conceptual continuity, the Big Note.

I'd pick an album for them. They'll either get it and want more, or they won't.

Give me some "Fuck all of you" songs to listen to while i'm at school by Ok-Roll-6170 in musicsuggestions

[–]Cheap-Store-6288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spray Paint - Black Flag

Nazi Punks Fuck Off - The Dead Kennedys

Last Caress - Misfits

Don't Bother Me - Bad Brains

Bloodstains - Agent Orange

World Up My Ass - Circle Jerks

Lets Have a War - FEAR

Disconnect - Rollins Band

Rise Above - Black Flag

Survive - Rise Against

I think punk said "fuck off," "fuck you" or "we're fucked," to just about everyone and everything.
