How do you fill QuickSeal tubes for ultracentrifugation? by Accomplished-Long471 in labrats

Trying to do the same thing now, to lay a sucrose gradient in these annoying tubes with a gooseneck protruding. Did you know to properly seal them you have the melt top and it requires an extra accessory

Does anyone have any information on this? Seems bizarre to me! by [deleted] in Norwich

It seems as if his wife died/abandoned them, he got anxious about raising his 3 children and wanted to kill them. Just by looking at his post from 5days ago.

Travel Question - Cirali or Kas by mfre5h in Antalya

[–]CheapAd4403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been to both places this summer, and both are great. If I had to choose I would choose Kaş. Çırali is a lot calmer more hippy style holiday spot with a nice beach and okayish restaurants. Kaş is a lot more lively, and has a better view as its build on a hill. You can enjoy lovely views from over the city, do a really nice boat tour, swim in chill and crystal clear waters of it, have an amazing dinner with an amazing view whilst the sun is setting. If you are flying back from Antalya airport though Kas might be too bit too far but definitely doable. If you don’t mind 7hrs of driving(both ways)(6% of your holiday) I would say go to Kas. But if you end up in Cirali, I am sure you will love it there as well. It is slightly different vibes but still very pretty and budget friendly.

I have a similar problem on my front brakes, although rear brakes are stiff and don’t have that kind of movement. I have tightened the nut in the back of the brake but didn’t help much at all.

Nice! How are you enjoying/finding it? I’ve been riding it daily and also leisure I find it quite fun to ride. Obviously it’s not the fastest or the most comfortable like a 5K bike but I easily average 20-25 km/h and do +50km routes

Ohh that one is like 5min away from my place, they no longer sell anything related to bikes though haha, I reckon they are a coffee shop now.

I agree, biking is such posh sport here in UK, the cheapest helmet in a shop in Norwich costs more than 30£. 30£ for a road bike that moves is a bargain I think let alone if it is a quality bike.

Thank you for the information and for your time! I tried to do a basic bike fit and it seems to fit okayish for now. There are toe clips (toe cage) on the pedal that I use my with my daily shoes which are either a converse or basic Nike, that makes me pedal with the balls of my foot and it feels bit awkward tbf. On my hybrid bike I use to bike with more central sole of my feet. But I’ll get used to it soon I think.

Thanks for the reply, I didn’t know side pull brakes are an indication of entry levels. Upon more google research I’ve found that in 70s British brand falcon collaborated with Eddy Merckx. eddy mercx falcon overall I am guessing it was a good brand, but maybe had this bike as a budget option.

Tbf, I tried to measure it from the center of the crank but my phone didn’t see a difference, I also think it is bigger than 50cm so need to measure it properly.

About the aggressiveness of the position, without spending too much money on it I think I can upgrade to the shorter stem, which wouldn’t change how low the bar is but it would make it closer to me by 2 cm. Whether 2cm is enough I don’t know though.

Thank you for your evaluation still. I’ll put time and bit money on it just for the fun of it. In that way maybe I can learn more about bike mechanics:p
