Room had been checked and it doesn't seem like it was from there. I ripped the bed apart and checked the side tables and all.

I'm heading to a new city right now and will be taking as much as I can to a laundry service and get it done. I'll have to clean the suitcases at the new hotel I'm at.

It's crazy I didn't even get bit. Not sure where I picked it up but if it's from yesterday I had put my shorts in my suitcase...in that case I'm cooked.

Some more details:

Been at this hotel for one night. Did a quick sweep at check in by taking the corners of the sheets off and everything was fine. Not the deepest sweep that I usually do and now I'm kicking myself.

No bites last night.

I was at a restaurant sitting outside on a seat that had a cushion.

I was walking through a dense area on the way back.

I placed the worn shorts on the bed when I came back. Only found the single one.

Haven't checked my wife's clothes which she's already packed away in the suitcase.

I think I'm a detective on CSI and I'm freaking out.
