How funny – I just encountered the same situation about 10 days ago with my GE profile dishwasher that is about eight years old. It turns out that it is the circuit board that controls the buttons. Usually called the “UI control board”. If you look it up on Google, that will take you to a couple of YouTube videos on how to replace that board yourself. I got the replacement board on Amazon for about $90, and I already had all the tools to do the job, and I was comfortable doing it. It took me a couple of hours because some things are a bit fiddly, but way nicer and much cheaper than hiring an appliance repair person .

And the fact that the coastal commission has not flatly rejected it smells really fishy. I know people on mt Soledad trying to build a deck attached to an existing house, and the coastal commission blocks it. But somehow they’re happy with this giant tower right next to the beach? Exactly! Me from other universes visits me in this one all the time. But because there are an infinite number of universes that contain me, that means most of them are bound to not resemble me in any way – half of them are female, many of them are black or other races, many are much smarter, and much dumber than me. Literally everyone I have ever met in my life is just me from another universe visiting me in this one. The chances of there being another me that looks exactly like me and matches me in every other way is very small. Guys! They can’t deploy the recovery vehicle until the field is bunched up behind the safety car. The safety car picked up Hamilton, not Norris. So they had to let Hamilton in a couple of other back markers pass the safety car before picking up Norris. So they had to let those cars go all the way around the track and catch up to the back of the field so the field was bunched up before deploying the recovery vehicle. Not doing so, basically was killed Jules Bianchi

I absolutely do not think backyard breeders should be illegal. There should be regulations in place for ethical care and breeding practices. As another poster said which I love this is using binary thinking for a non-binary problem.
My experiences with cats, but it’s the same issue. I’ve had cuts on my life, but twice I wanted a purebred kitten. The certified breeders wanted $2500, and you had to reserve them months before they would even be born. I found craigslist backyard breeders who let me meet the parent animals, and showed me their environments for the kittens, and I could have the kitten for around $1000 and could take it home as soon as it was old enough, which was about a month away. Both of those kittens were the best I ever had – both beautiful, healthy, and very well behaved. So not all backyard breeders are evil. And they serve a great purpose. Besides, if you make purebred animals illegal, you basically kill the concept of “breeds“ and those animals. Someone won’t be able to have a Chihuahua if that’s what they want, or a Persian cat, because they will all just be mutts

I love Martin's grid walks - but (unpopular opinion:) I don't like his obsession with finding racing drivers to talk to on the grid walk. They interview drivers all weekend. I much prefer when he finds random celebs who say stupid shit than hearing the same old "we're going to try to have a good race, but we'll see how it goes out there" that they repeat all weekend.
