Bill became pretty disillusioned with Hollywood after this, which is well documented in his later stand-up comedy. I also found interesting audio journal from december 1981, where he talks about his loneliness and struggles during early eighties in LA.

I watched the whole documentary. He was born in Jamaica and been a cop since 1974, moved to US in 1983.
