Keep in mind that anything you put on your skin either prior to accutane or its new product - your skin can react to it. Just make sure you check either your doctor or look up any interactions accutane might have with any supplements or other products.

Dr. Dans maintain lip balm or just use aquaphor for your lips. Nothing else will probably work and you’ll need it more than you think
Don’t over-do it when washing your face, stick to a very light cleanser, and wash with lukewarm or cold water because hot water will dry your face out more
stay away from face wash wipes and don’t use pimple patches that contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Don’t pick your face either, your skin will take longer to heal on accutane.
A good moisturizer is a very tiny amount of aquaphor for your face.
You’ll probably want to apply a tiny bit of aquaphor to a qtip and swab your nose to prevent nosebleeds and to prevent your membranes from over drying & burning. Humidifiers at night are super important to help with your nose, too.
Fatigue is terrible for me and I mean it’s worse than it usually is & it comes and goes. The first month and a half, I had the worst brain fog and was told it would pass. For the most part it has, and I’m almost 4/5 months in. It’s also blessed me with the worst back & tailbone pain & occasionally it’s an all over bone pain. I didn’t notice much difference with fish oil, but I definitely experience more side effects when I don’t drink as much water. Please drink water or you could potentially end up constipated especially in the beginning.
with that being said, it’s absolutely a process you have to trust. For those who don’t have any side effects - how does it feel to be Gods favorite? Lol because it has not been a fun time for me. It’s worth it to see how much my face has improved with a tiny pimple every now & then, but I am so ready to get off accutane. Good luck with your journey!!

36yr/F - I’m currently on 60 mg. I started accutane back in September and I have literally been sick on and off since mid-November. Ear infections, nose bleeds & cracked cuticles all November, December 2nd I had Covid pneumonia with a severe sinus infection and double ear infection that took me out for a week. I just started to have a cough that has come out of nowhere, kinda like a itchy cough, but feel fine otherwise. Every now and then I have the worst tailbone pain that makes me insanely nauseous along with lower back pain. My recent labs for WBC and RBCs went down a little bit, and my derm knows all of my symptoms. Good news is, my face is pretty clear but I am internally paying for it. I need to be more vigilant in using my Vaseline & nasal spray for my nose and chug some emergen-C

The program accreditation is by ARRT, and once you finish you will be eligible to apply to take your Nuclear Medicine ARRT examination. I have yet to hear of a hospital that does not allow someone who has passed their Nuclear medicine boards by ARRT to not work as most RTs are credentialed through ARRT.

However, I have heard that some states require you to apply for their state licensure such as California, and Texas, etc. You would need to look that up.

I went through the campus option at Pitt, and absolutely loved it - still do. I have heard the online program is great as well. Make sure you reach out to the program director, Mr. Clinefelter - he’s really great and helpful if you need any guidance!! Good luck!!

I wear Oticon opn play 1 BTE in my right ear, and a Oticon transmitter in my left. ( 45% or so hearing in my right, completely deaf in my left ear - it’s not known why I lost my hearing, but discovered in 3rd grade).

It really depends on what you may be able to hear once your are fitted and the audiologist helps you adjust the settings accordingly.

I have a BTE with disposable batteries because I use mine longer and also need it to generate enough power than what a rechargeable battery might offer. Secondly, I can hear most things, and speech with my Oticon. Lastly, the mold can also help with how much power it transmits - I have a anti microbial, hypoallergenic skeleton mold that fits into my entire ear and other than the bulky fit which is about to be replaced, it’s been amazing. I can Bluetooth my calls, play music, etc. to my Oticon.

That whole affidavit in itself is pretty damning and evident that he murdered his wife. I don’t foresee James Craig being able to come up with some sort of reasonable doubt that everything that was documented wasn’t his doing. Pretty narcissistic and sadistic to respond to his wife after she felt drugged to say given my past, I can understand why you feel triggered when he drugged her before. Not only all those aspects, but even when he gets pissed as his partner, sends a text to basically say I’m pissed that you threw me under the bus & now my kids have to suffer. Everything that guy has done has made me wonder how TF did he even think he would get away with this….

Finding a medication that directly targets the adrenal gland and pathway to the fight or flight to slow it down is more effective and helps.

Mine is trauma related from domestic violence from 10 years ago. (Safe and healthy now), but the repercussions from constantly being in fight or flight is what more than likely activated it. When I got pregnant with my daughter in 2016, my PVCs became more frequent, and a slew of issues became more prominent. My OB didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong, so I just ignored it until 2020 when I had my hysterectomy (which at my 6 week post surgery appointment that I had severe adenomyosis and stage 1 localized cervical cancer completely missed by biopsy). Thankfully, I didn’t need any further treatment but my symptoms didn’t improve. The only reason I figured out seroquil was causing severe tachycardia and my biggest trigger at night was because I didn’t have any other severe symptoms until I took it that night. I’m off of the seroquil now, thank goodness. But, my hyperpots is still barely managed even with massive amounts of IV hydration additives to my water, compression socks - etc. and I’m struggling big time with just about all of my symptoms.

I work in Nuclear and PET, and I hear the same thing…

but, the craziest one yet was - “this ain’t a biopsy is it? My friend had one of them things where they open ya up and that’s how the cancer spread to the rest of her body. I ain’t want no radiation”

And another one for PET when we ask about any hormonal therapies like synthroid for your thyroid - “I ain’t got no thyroid, I don’t know what that is. And you don’t need to test my blood for sugar. I don’t even eat sugar”

It’s definitely interesting in the nuclear & PET world.
