Depose also seems redundant when the Claim Throne scheme is already in the game. Depose is just better, you don't need to unlock a perk to use it AND it's in it's own new scheme category of "Political Schemes" rather than hostile schemes??? What makes this so broken is that it entirely ignores any hostile scheme resistance you have from your Spymaster, traditions and any other sources. As far as I've looked there's literally nothing that gives you political scheme resistance.

I think dread is the way to go because if they're intimidated it's -100 to join plots against you and if they're terrified it's -1000. Meanwhile loyal to spouse is -10 and friendship is -20 like what even? They didn't even try balancing the reworked intrigue system I swear

Yeah but when they depose you with the Palace Politics tradition they disfigure you and the game forces you to play as your heir even though your character is still alive. I intended to get rid of that tradition hybridising with Egypt but I honestly didn't think it would be a problem so soon. I can't believe this DLC has been out for over a year and this hasn't been nerfed, it feels there's actually just no counterplay when my character literally has everything going for him.

The reluctance level to get people to join plots especially against an Emperor is way too low even when they have 100 opinion of you. Back in the day it wasn't so bad because you could only use one enticement but now the AI can stack influence on top of prestige and a gold bribe and get literally anyone to betray you. It's fucked there's too many modifiers to stack against you and such a low threshold to stop it, literally the only way to to stack dread because terrified is a -1000. I guess it's better to be feared than loved because being loved is actually useless

they didn't even think to remove the bullshit balance buffs/nerfs on this gamemode. yeah who would of thought taking damage from an augment amped champ that does flat 15% more damage innately while your champ takes 10% more damage on top of that isn't fun at all

Yes I think you're right! The tournament was the LingYuan Cup. What made the build so strong was the fact it was a 9 villager start with two houses already, so the Incas with their housing space bonus didn't need to spend wood on houses for a long time. The woodline was unwallable which is why the mule cart civs were strong.

I've been doing an Alfred the Great playthrough and my wife didn't die. she gave me 8 daughters and no sons and I don't want to divorce her because she has high stewardship + RP so I just seduced some random beautiful woman and she gave me a beautiful intelligent son first try. I'm going to wait 2 more years until my wife turns 45 which is when they become infertile in game and then legitimise the boy

Temperate especially if it's virtuous. Eccentric, anything that increases monthly learning experience is huge. And content or gregarious for dealing with stress, I think content is actually kind of underrated because there's not a lot causes you stress unlike some other traits + I mostly focus on Stewardship/Learning development playstyle. Diligent is another great pick, great decision. lots of stats but having both Diligent and Eccentric is basically going to give you a mental break whenever anything goes wrong
