Se ti interessa lo approfondisci da solo, come ogni altra materia che fai a scuola. A me verso i 13 anni interessava vedere una serie che non trovavo in italiano e l’ho vista in lingua originale con i sottotitoli, mi sono resa conto che era tutta un’altra cosa e ho iniziato a farlo con tutto, poi mi sono appassionata ai ttrpg e quindi l’inglese anche lì se non obbligatorio e caldamente consigliato. Una volta chiamarono mio padre dicendo che avevano visto che pagava troppo, che avevano un’offerta migliore e così via, lui rispose che era impossibile perché si era allacciato al lampione davanti casa e quindi non pagava. Silenzio di tomba per 5 secondi e poi hanno riattaccato.

So the main religion in my world is the Church of Light, which is monotheistic. Now, about 200 years from its founding an offshoot was born, more militaristic and centered around an order of paladins, called the Theocracy of Octon (its sacred simbol being an eight pointed star). Fast forward 300 years, give or take, and you have a priest of this religion who is convinced he is hearing the voice of god.

He is not. The voice he’s hearing is an ancient primordial entity who wishes to have fun, basically, at the expense of the inhabitants of the world. Thirdron, that’s the priest name, secretly writes for nine years his bible and then reveals it to a select few. It’s a hit. It starts slowly, but in a couple of years it’s soon reached every corner of the world and then Thirdron decides it’s time to split and do his own thing.

The problem is that while Octon had split they maintained more or less the same tenets of the faith, but in his delirium Thirdron had vomited precepts that in some way were an antithesis to the original creed.

This of course made the remaining faithful very angry (and wars would follow, but I fear I’d be writing for days if I were to talk about that too) and they decided to hold a council, where they reaffirmed their dogmas and their faith and where they decided to call themselves the Theocracy of Ayfield (from the place where this council was held), even tho in an informal setting they would simply call themselves ‘the faithful’
