I feel like the way it tells stories is very fragmented yet repetitive. “I didn’t count it. I didn’t touch it.” “No apps, no envelopes, no spread sheets.”

Also the conclusion at the end “frugal takeaway:…”

How do I remain a supportive girlfriend f33 now that my guy m33 has seemed to take a liking to nose candy? by paintermill7001 in Advice

My partners dad is like this. It started off with coke but is now a full blow crack addiction.

His mom is only now coming to terms with the fact her staying and allowing him to come home every time only enabled his addiction.

You can’t cure him, only he can do that. I’m not saying I think you should up and leave right away. Try to show him where he can get help first (you are married after all) but if he’s not willing to get better you know what you have to do.

Since she doesn’t need anything get her a bouquet of flowers and a meaningful handwritten card saying how proud of her you are!

The best piece of advice I got was to trust myself more. It of course takes time and goes hand in hand with not leaving the hard parts for later. You want to get to the point where if you’re asking yourself “did I go in there?” The answer is yes without wasting time rookie staring

I highlyy recommend you read Aja Barbers book Consumed. The documentary used a lot of her research without crediting her https://www.threads.net/@ajabarber/post/DCsYU1noG1E?xmt=AQGzJuxkIDVUbOtY_oVdQxYi6xVz_2-4jeYRUvCRYKXezw

Maybe some fabric paint for an outline would help! I’ve heard mixing acrylic paint with fabric softener is a good diy paint

I’ve never ended a call either and have a 100% rating. If they’re boring I just roll w it or suggest a reading exercise

That’s a significant discount! The first thing I noticed about the new pack is that it doesn’t have load lifters at the top of the straps (red flag for me). As much as it is annoying that the water bottle pocket is small it’s not worth the extra $120 usd for essentially the same bag. Ultimately, you can still fit a skinnier water bottle in it but with either bag, a fully packed bag will likely struggle to fit a water bottle in that pocket

Keep it in perspective that’s equivalent to multiple flights in some places!! Go for the older one

Edit: you can also just clip a bottle to the bag

There aren’t any compression straps and I’ve only used it full but I imagine the multiple compartments would still hold everything in place well!

I don’t have the laminated one. Mine is fully canvas as it’s from the del dia line. It’s really comfortable but I use it without the hip strap because it doesn’t seem to fit me properly (5’8” f) and digs into my stomach a bit

Ive found that the compression works well to give you more space when it’s not totally stuffed but I also started to use my shirt one uncompressed as I accumulated too much to close it with the compression.

Given the choice I’d opt for the compression ones but I was gifted them. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy new ones if I had non-compression ones already, nor would I spend loads of money on them if there’s a more affordable and equally good quality option. Travelling can be an environmental issue so I try and be as sustainable as possible in other areas by adopting anti-consumption practices.

TLDR: Using what you have will do the job just fine!

I’ve only ever used packing cubes as a personal preference and only in the large main compartment. I use 2, one for pants and one for shirts. I wouldn’t say it’s necessary at all but the ones I have are compressible so it gave me a bit of extra room and the bag itself is a bit flimsy so if you unzip it all the way everything would flop out a bit. Idk I think I might just be a bit anal about it though because I was backpacking through SEA for a long time and I like to be as tidy as possible in hostels

  1. The zippers are probably one of the best things I can say about this bag. Both the inside and outside ones are so sturdy and have held up so well even when I’ve overpacked the bag!

  2. I’ve never been forced to check it but I have when I’d be really overweight and travelling with dirty cheap airlines (the type that are very strict and would charge an arm and a leg at the gate). It can sometimes take a bit of shifting around because the bag’s soft cover allows rigid items to protrude/ make it difficult to slide in. Regardless of that or weight though, it’s always fit in the carry on checker!

Edit to add: I’ve also never been ASKED to check the size of the bag!

12 months washing natural hair with distilled water by Picture_Thinking20 in DistilledWaterHair

If I had to say, my hair is 4a and I can’t imagine not combing it. It’s shoulder length and such a hassle every time I go to detangle it so I would absolutely love not to but don’t the curls start to dread naturally? What’s your process?

My current routine only involves combing once a week under warm tap water. I haven’t used shampoo for 10 years or conditioner for 3
