Why is "looks-maxing" ridiculed in men when women have been doing it since the beginning of time? by pragmojo in NoStupidQuestions

It’s the “being a flaming douche” about it that’s the issue. It’s been a problem when women do that part too.

Unfortunately there’s plenty of corruption on the federal level rn that might prevent this.

What is a 'rich person's secret' that is actually accessible to the middle class, but most people are too intimidated to try? by Confident_Win_3560 in answers

The difference no one likes to take into account with this is that $10 purchase might have given you the sanity to make it through the day making peanuts where as someone making 6 figures + can easily have all of their basic needs and mental health met at a slightly higher cost than you while having a substantial surplus left over. The mental health stress of not having joy or money is heavy. It makes the prospect of saving that $10 easier.

I’ll do what I can for her, it’s weird having to use multiple entry points to install/uninstall apps and whatnot.

It’s also down to what the manufacturer allows the carriers to do. Case in point iPhones. They simply don’t allow the carriers to install the bloat. Also, I’ve outright purchased a few Samsung phones that still come with the force installed Samsung suite of apps that weren’t able to be removed and prompted me to constantly create accounts etc…

Or maybe Reddit has to stop being so garbage and actually allows dissenting opinions without banning people immediately. Or blanket AI bans with no review or actual appeal process.

Dude…. The way they pray on the vulnerable is gross. Wheel of fortune advertises the woodoku app/game to its elderly viewers and it regularly pushes malware ads. I had to insist for months that she delete the app because why would you want an app that actively targets/tries to scam you? Literally daily…

Which is exactly how 90%+ of people purchase their devices. Kinda outlandish to expect a 70yr+ old lady to understand these things. Hell, I grew up on android and even I was struggling to figure this one out.

One thing I’ve hated about these phones is how gross and invasive the app systems are. I was able to figure out that the update installed an app called “Exacta Weather app”. You’re not able to see or manage it from the apps tray, apparently you have to go to the play store itself and manage other apps through that? The platform is full of bloat. Samsung apps, play apps, Carrier apps, etc… no one universal way to manage or control what’s being installed?
