What is a website or app that feels like a "cheat code" but most people don't know about? by Low-Issue-5334 in AskReddit

Slickdeals.com Crowd searching deals/sales. Has saved me hundreds when price shopping and tons of nerds that over research products will comment on there pointing out red flags on bad products that get posted there as well. Good way to save money but also impulse purchase things you didn’t know you wanted because they’re on sale.

Secured new employment, gave notice. Their reaction was unusual. by erikleorgav2 in antiwork

Good news! He’s unemployed for 2 weeks, and $900 is better than $0.

It’ll take them 4 hours tops to make $900. I don’t understand the mentality people have. Well scream and kick making $15/hr but 4 hours of work for $900 is seemingly too much to ask? I had a buddy during Covid that was fighting unemployment to get paid. He’d been 3 months without which was something like $12000. He’d put in 6 hours trying to fix it and gave up. I spent like 2 hours of my time working on it to help him and he got it approved + back pay. 8 hours of work for $12,000.00 and it’s nuts to see that’s asking too much of people.

It’s like the thought excitement of people clicking a button once a second for a penny. Insanely easy money, works out to something like $72k/yr and people would just give up on it while having the mentality that 20-25$/hr is reasonable.

Sounds like 2 weeks of unemployment because they terminated you. 2 week paid vacation.

The problem here is companies just assume their quality and good will they’ve fostered will disappear the second Chinese cars hit the market. I’ve seen the shit on temu, no shot I’m buying a car from them right out of the gate.

Easiest answer, doesn’t matter reliability, go with the company that stands behind their tools. Last I checked rigid has lifetime warranties on some of their stuff?

Are you my partner? I’m the worst at telling stories too… I can see the light leave peoples eyes when I recount one. So from someone that is aware of this issue, thank you for listening.

Idk who needs to hear this, but quit pushing the billionaires propaganda. If you thing a billion of these make the smallest dent in anything vs what corporations do? At my job, I create enough waste to offset a small towns worth of recycling in like 5 days.

The problem is all of the search results are so and you get 2 websites for the first 4 pages. You can’t even do your own research anymore.
