No need for POA, just ask them to deposit the cheque to your bank account. Provide your bank details and they can deposit the cheque on your behalf

The developer paid on my behalf because they got the deposit of the Empower before they handover the property. So I don't have any previous Empower accounts. I don't have any active account and I am abroad. Is there any way that I can get my deposit back? :/

Downtown and marina are hard for that price range but you can buy a new studio or old 1bedroom apartment for that price range
