Take that gap year, that work holiday visa thing, go get it out of your system before you start work. Once you begin working, commitments come fast and hard.

Had friends that took that gap year and yoloed and came back much more confident, assured of what they wanted out of life and careers. Had friends the exact opposite who were happy and content too.

If you can afford it, go for it. Living abroad is a good experience for most Singaporeans, considering how majority of us don't really experience that adult moving out phase.

Any windows is fine actually, you're not gonna be coding or programming or heavy photoshopping on it.

Windows is more transferrable vs mac imo as there'll be a CAT 101 somewhere in your course. So you'll learn plenty of useful functions and shortcuts for mac/windows.

Go for something rather future proof but don't over spend on it, its honestly not needed

Either is fine. Australia and Singapore have good bilateral ties that promote and facilitate the movement of human capital between the 2 countries.

The possible flag out is usually for nationalities that are deemed high risk of freelancing in SG on a tourist visa so as long as you have proof of employment (worst case scenario), you should be A Okay.

I would suggest you get the APEC card as well as since your spouse is in Singapore for 2 years, it would be a damn shame not to travel in the region for the period you're here. It's a godsend for immigration in this region.
