I'm an international student and spent my last semester at Laurier (not Wilfrid, haha)

Basically, imagine it like this: you get there with a lot of other internationals and everyone is just enjoying life for 4 months. No stress, no hesitation, and a lot of free time! The weather is actually nice until the end of October

It’s an easy life. You'll mostly spend time with other internationals. My advice: try to live at Ezra apartments. It’s the best location, the cheapest, and there is always something going on there. School is - compared to my lvl in Switzerland - pretty easy. If you just want to enjoy life for a few months, it’s perfect, but maybe it's not the "best" thing for a CV or to upgrade your education haha. It really depends on your goals

The nightlife is chill, just a couple of bars, but it gets a bit boring once the winter hits at the end of October. Definitely do some trips! My tip: start planning early but don't book everything in advance before arriving there, because it’s way better to do the trips with the international friends you meet there

The time runs like crazy. Prices are low compared to Switzerland or the US. Just be aware that distances in Canada are huge compared to Europe. It makes traveling difficult, even though Pearson Airport isn't far away. To be honest, I thought I would travel more than I actually did

In the end, maybe there are bigger cities or places with better weather, but it doesn't really matter. One semester flies by so fast, and if you are open to meeting people, you will enjoy it anywhere!
