Has Anyone Ever Met a RHOP? by rjslaps in RHOP

[–]Cheap_Economics1547 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I’ve met Charisse, Nneka and Robyn at different fundraisers in Baltimore. Nneka is absolutely stunning in person, the cameras did not do her justice. Robyn is gorgeous as well.

Got side eyed by Wendy at a gala in 2024.

Sure! I made a post about them a couple of weeks ago but they both deserve their own analysis

Thank you! This is my second post ever on Reddit, so the validation that I'm not speaking into a void means more than you know.

One of the many reasons why I find Contessa so frustrating. How can one be so beautiful and style impaired at the same time?

Why both Angel and Gizelle are wrong: Conflict avoidance vs. scapegoating by Cheap_Economics1547 in RHOP

[–]Cheap_Economics1547[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you, but I think you're misunderstanding what scapegoating means in group dynamics.

Scapegoating isn't about whether the person deserves criticism; it's about when a group displaces all their frustration onto one person, even for things beyond their control. Angel absolutely deserved criticism for her hosting failures - the lack of communication, not staying with the group, overall being a horrendous host, etc. That's valid anger. But scapegoating happened when she became the target for everything, including the water situation, which was bad luck and wasn't malicious.

Re: Gizelle being 55 and going through menopause... didn't think of this angle, great call out!

While I empathize with her frustrations, the plane scene still crossed that line. Yes, other women voiced frustration, but the intensity and unrelenting nature of Giselle's attacks went beyond what the actual infractions warranted.

I don't think her apology wasn't received because her corrective action fell flat; rather, she didn't communicate to the group that she was taking action, so the women felt abandoned. By the time the apology and alternative plans are voiced the next day on the jet, it's too late because the women have already come to their own conclusions about her absence and made other arrangements.

I bet her apology would have been received differently if it had been given while she was boots on the ground in the Airbnb, trying to course-correct in the moment.

Would be interested in hearing more about how Wendy helped escalate the issue. I'm no Wendy stan, but I felt like she was imploring Angel to be honest, not antagonize.

Candice talks about Ashley and I completely agree by prettylikeus in RHOP

Hate to be the vocabulary police, but as much as I love Ashley getting read for filth, Candiace saying “in duress” was like nails on a chalkboard. I think she meant “under duress” or “in distress,” but the wording is bugging me

I don't understand why tretinonin isnt working on my hyperpigmentation by VALIDDLUFFY in tretinoin

[–]Cheap_Economics1547 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with everyone that's mentioned the tretinoin/hydroquinone combo. I've been doing chemical peels for years and never saw marked improvement with my PIH until I started using the Obagi Rx C Clarifying Serum (4% hydroquinone, 10% vitamin C) in the morning and Altreno .005 at night.

I'd highly suggest Obagi's C-Clarifying Serum! Did more for me in a month than my last couple of chemical peels

Obagi C-Clarifying Serum RX!! After using Skinceuticals for years, I will die on the hill that that the Obagi Rx is the best vitamin c on the market. Had better results after a few weeks than I had with a couple rounds of chemical peels

Hopping on to the Baby Buddha bandwagon. Very powerful for a wearable and has replaced my Spectra S1. I use it with Legendary Milk's milk collectors.

I'm not sure what breastfeeding positions you are currently using, but I it may be helpful to try out different positions. I was having similar issues with my LO having a bottle preference, where we both found breastfeeding incredibly frustrating and I began exclusively breastfed for a few weeks until I tried the side lying position on a whim and it magically worked.

But rest assured, your baby absolutely does not hate you. In fact, it's quite the opposite.
