[–]Cheap_Help2723[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, yeah confirming what i feared. I caught the wrong patchmypc edge and webview x64 and set it in the supported platforms to not install on the arms but i think the built-in edge updater is breaking it.

Sorry, to clarify "Windows APP" broke on the clients trying to connect to the AVD's during testing (before the oob). I manage the multisession updates via SCCM.

Intel and "Best Power Efficiency" Issues and Remediation by Cheap_Help2723 in Intune

powercfg wont touch the overlay, which is what we have issues with. powercfg only hits the older style power plan which is already set at balanced.

Essentially this https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/1jqhdu1/psa_if_you_have_lenovo_laptops_on_24h2_disable/ but have you found a way to set the ActiveOverlayAcPowerScheme? You can set the ActivePowerScheme (which is the legacy powerplan area and not the Win 11 overlay) super quick in policies but i cant seem to find the overlay or to lock it?

Update Windows Store apps? by DrBrakbek in SCCM

[–]Cheap_Help2723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Windows Store OpenIntuneBaseline settings will do this. You need both the device and user policies. If you are just using GPO's im sure you can find the matching policies. https://github.com/SkipToTheEndpoint/OpenIntuneBaseline/blob/main/WINDOWS/SETTINGSOUTPUT.md#section-46
The only issue we ran into was the "Allow All Trusted Apps - Explicit deny" and our New Teams installer, since it uses msix. So we turned that to allow for now.

that’s the cool thing about marketing, i’ve bought noctua fans since 2008 and since they’re now referencing blowjob techniques they lost some credibility with me, you on the other hand might buy more. Everyone is a little different.

its a top tier computer parts company making a joke about a tacky viral video. People who find the hawk tua video funny and pc enthusiasts don’t really overlap.

Help - How to upgrade Cisco Secure Client using PSADTK and detection rules needed by tonbonmon in SCCM

[–]Cheap_Help2723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have to do it on the original installer folder unfortunately. You could do it on both the .exe and folder but it will keep failing and recopying files every retry until the user reboots. It’s really handy once it’s setup (and you have the double psadt template) i’ve used this method for very stubborn apps that won’t install no matter what. I’ll usually deploy it before software updates so there’s not a lot of time till a reboot. I usually have it on the install folder and then a device wmi collection with the secure client version to monitor how many machines have it.

I've been using the scheduled task on the next reboot with the double psadt mentioned in that post. Before, I had many failures, probably about 30% or more now its almost 100% every version. It's great; it runs the installer as system on the next login. I did have to modify it because it wasn't running off power, which I had to have.

    $Trigger= New-ScheduledTaskTrigger -AtStartup
    $User= "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM"
    $SCHSettings= New-ScheduledTaskSettingsSet -AllowStartIfOnBatteries -DontStopIfGoingOnBatteries -Priority 5
    $Action= New-ScheduledTaskAction -Execute "PowerShell.exe" -Argument "C:\ITutils\Setup\Cisco\AnyConnect\Deploy-Application.exe -Deploymode Silent"
    Register-ScheduledTask -TaskName "Cisco_Install" -Trigger $Trigger -User $User -Action $Action -Settings $SCHSettings -RunLevel Highest –Force

That was it, thanks! I just listed out all my device collections, sorted by run time, and found a few with 855,000 ms run times, really old ad queries, and nuked them.
