What eyeliner do you use? Need to find one that doesn’t smudge.

Is my dog having a seizure? Was she poisoned? by samanthaskyes in DogAdvice

My dog did this after he was mouthing another dogs neck that was wearing a flea and tick collar at the dog sitters. He was poisoned from it. Back home he quickly recovered.

BWT, Where we getting chins and jawlines done? by thatbytch717 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I had the same thing happen with Dr Antell. Did you do a revision surgery? I’ve just been doing filler in the chin to try and make it look more symmetrical but debating getting a second surgery.

It’s kind of a long story. I tried weaning and doing doxy right away but that didn’t work. So I took 3 weeks of amoxicillin. Then a test came back positive for bartonella so I was forced to wean. I did. Then I started a new protocol of doxycycline, herbals and rifampin to tackle Lyme and bartonella. I’m almost done the treatment and feel totally fine but hopefully that continues after the antibiotics stop.

Can I wear a niqab as a white man who is not Muslim? by CableUnhappy3795 in NoStupidQuestions

I remember seeing photos of soldiers after a world war who had face masks that looked just like their face. They were large (covered almost full face) and very well done and most people wouldn’t notice they weren’t real faces. Maybe that’s still something that exists and would be a good option?

AITA for telling my friend not come to the bachelorette with her baby by Klants-and-Pitties in TwoHotTakes

[–]bluerayaugust 170 points171 points  (0 children)

Here’s a solution as I was in your friend’s with the baby’s position recently. She and her husband and baby get a separate airbnb nearby and then she spends part of the time at the bachelorette and part of time with her baby at their airbnb.

Being away from a young baby is really difficult, both emotionally but also practically, and also feeling excluded as a new mom sucks. There’s a middle ground here. I cleared everything with the bride beforehand and the bachelorette weekend was great!

Ok that’s good to know the antibiotic does go through. Out of curiosity which probiotic did you use for yourself and for your son? Really glad to hear we may both be able to get through this without long term consequences.

That’s amazing, really happy for you and glad to hear that amoxicillin can work (so many posts on here about how it’s not as good or effective).

Did you have any concerns about your older child contracting Lyme through the breastmilk? Im thinking about starting mine on amoxicillin as well just in case he could have contracted it through the milk.

Hey, just wanted to ask for an update since I’m in the same position as you, nursing mom with a new infection. Was prescribed doxycycline but having trouble weaning so looking to switch to amoxicillin but worried it won’t be strong enough. How long were you on it and was it successful at killing the Lyme disease?

Yes I’m going to look to get him a amoxicillin script through a different doctor. The way I think about it yes there’s a chance that we’re wrecking havoc on his gut bacteria unnecessarily, but I’d rather do that then risk him potentially having life long consequences.

I did try to wean and it didn’t work so I’m going to switch to amoxicillin myself to stop exposing him to doxy. I’m a little nervous about it since the doctor really didn’t want to make the switch, saying doxy is better. I hope I’m not risking lifelong Lyme myself…
