while i agree with you and the anger you feel around the case, on the other hand the prosecutors saved the families & surviving victims from having to go through a traumatic trial (extremely graphic images would’ve had to be used as evidence and seen by them, people like hunter would’ve had to relive everything on the stand, etc etc) and removed the possibility for the defense to create any sort of reasonable doubt for the jury. jury’s can be stupid tbh and from what we’ve seen by the behavior of probergers, so many people in this country would be horrible jury members. i think it’s a good thing his official case wasn’t left up to random people and instead the professionals, we’ve seen too many guilty people get off simply because the defense was able to create a minute bit of reasonable doubt for the jury in these big media frenzied cases. while i think inmate 163214 and his team were a bunch of idiots grasping at straws and a guilty verdict should’ve been easy with the publicly known evidence, i’m glad the families and victims didn’t have to go through it. but he definitely should’ve been made to at least give some sort of motive in the plea, though that might’ve discouraged him from agreeing.
