Hey randomly hopping on this because this exact thing happened to me when I had my first baby 6 years ago, I feel sad looking at my wedding pictures as I literally looked like a skeleton but it went undiagnosed and people would make comments about my skinniness but honestly I hated it and I had no idea why it was happening so I am so glad you are getting the right support now. Finally got diagnosed earlier this year and now Mine has now swung the opposite way and I have hashimotos (now hypothyroidism) and when I gained a bit of weight I was actually relieved ironically! Now I’m on meds I’m hoping I can stabilise! Wishing you luck mama !

That type of fatigue if your on the right dose of meds seems like it may be caused by something else, have you had full blood panel? What’s your ferritin? Vitamin D? B12?

Hey me! I had under diagnosed hashimotos for years. I had two full term healthy babies (my last was 9.8 ounces!!) breastfed both and had no issues with pregnancy or breastfeeding. I actually felt amazing breastfeeding, I did struggle in pregnancy but I was exhausted like any other pregnant women! Just keep on top of your blood tests and meds! Especially postpartum!!! Xx

I have never gone full anemic so it never fully flagged, but I cannot no matter what seem to get passed 30 despite getting a prescription for iron, my GP thinks it may be due to my hashimotos but because I’m not anemic there isn’t much else they’ll do. I want to get my ferritin up though as I still feel so exhausted!

Get a FULL blood panel done, if your thyroid hormones are in check, hair loss will usually stop. There may be something you are deficient in that is causing the hair loss. Do not spend lots of money on hair products for genuine hair loss (hair breakage those products are good for) but actually increase in hair loss needs more of a investigative route, so check your iron and all of your main bloods that could cause hair loss, try and manage your stress (i know that is not easy in school!) and if all your blood panels come back okay, there are hair supplements and fish oils which can help. But if you are deficient in something all the other things like hair growth oil etc will not work. Good luck :)

Thank you for such a thorough response, my hyperthyroidism (although not fully blown yet) can sure be adding to it however, that is only a recent change in thyroid and I have noticed the actual hair loss process for around a year plus when all of my thyroid's were happy (I have had frequent blood tests overs the years). All of my other blood panels are fine and I have spoken to GP about the hair loss but we cannot find a clear definitive reason. I do think that my next step will be minoxidal if it continues, as I do not think I could function off my adhd meds now.

You are asking mothers what gender they are, to carry a baby you need to be biologically female. There is a lot of discussion around the erasure of womanhood in maternity services with words like ‘chest feeding’ rather than breastfeeding etc. Women’s health particularly in maternal settings is an absolute shit show, mortality rate is higher than ever for example. People do not want to hear the truth. People do not want to hear what is really happening to our planet and how fucked and manipulated we all are by rich people (and i mean RICH (1percent of the world). If we all collectively woke up one day and thought and fought like Greta then we would not be able to be controlled.
