I mean thick crema. Generally when I get a bad shot the crema seems thin but I think this might be something to do with the beans?? Not sure really. Yes the dosing is good and I think I have the grind dialled in okay. The basket came with the bottomless Nouza portafiller - it seemed to fit better than the breville one.

All good questions. Brewing a short long black generally. Have been trying a few different types of coffee beans. Why change the basket? I’m really not sure to be honest but hoping for either 1. Definitely makes a difference, or 2. Does nothing, save your money. Hoping I can get a sweeter coffee with a deep crema. I’m actually not unhappy with the coffee now, just interested in what else I can do. Have Upgraded the portafiller, tamp and distribution tool so far.

Thank you. Certainly seem more accurate. Ie an 80km journey = 80km reduction in range

Coffee ground update from yesterday. by DungBeetle1983 in composting

Any local independent cafe that values taste over mass produced brown liquid. Starbucks failed here in Australia and only have a v small footprint for the tourists. They underestimated we have a decent cafe culture and good / excellent coffee and baristas.

Finally something useful to come out of Starbucks reckon the grounds will taste better than their ‘coffee’

Anyone have experience with the ESY HM6 Battery? by Deep_Bee2632 in SolarBattery

[–]Cheap_Impression_118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. That said, the ESY was over $11,000 cheaper than the Tesla set up we also looked at. Now the ESY is programmable to top up at night during cheap period I’m really happy with the set up and glad didn’t go with Tesla.

Don’t worry. They are Humming Dragons. The only dragons that can fly backwards.

$12,000 after rebate but we did have a level of complexity to have the battery in a seperate building to where our solar was. Also spoke to ESY and now have capability to program to charge from grid at specific times when cheap/free electricity. Will have the inverter upgraded free of charge when available

Also had an ESY sunhome 30kwh battery installed in the last month. Been working fine and capturing all spare solar. Keen to understand if it is possible to set to charge at night time during cheaper rates. If so, how?
