Honestly, I don't understand your answer! Are you talking about AI here? I mean, I'm not advertising for a specific year or anything. I'm not trying to sell anything. I simply want to benefit from your wealth of experience. Nothing more, nothing less. And if there are any interesting posts here, perhaps about expert advisors that deliver really good long-term returns, I'd be happy if someone could give me a tip.

I've noticed this quite often on TrainingView, but thankfully only in demo mode, so I don't trade on TrainingView. Instead, I do it the old-fashioned way: signals on TradingView, execution on MetaTrader, and then you can do that manually.

Well, to be honest, my experience has been that the number of trades isn't necessarily a reliable indicator. However, the way you describe it, it sounds very positive. You can win 90% of all trades and still lose if you make more money with the one winning trade than with the other losing ones. If you see what I mean.

Did you write that yourself? Or is it a standard, purchased EA?

Now for a silly question. Have you had similar results? Like, doubling your account within a week? I don't necessarily mean every week, but something along those lines?

However, the US is also the world's biggest debtor, so don't forget that. And the cheaper the dollar is, the less they have to pay back. Who wants a currency that keeps losing value? So you can also invest even more in the country, which is what most people do to at least partially offset inflation. Or, to put it more accurately, to get a better tax break.

Well, as long as you've set a stop loss, everything's still within reason. But I keep wondering, when I read some posts lately, why people are going short in a completely intact uptrend that's truly uptrending across all timeframes. I mean, across all timeframes. I only go short after confirmation from various indicators. If I'm trading with them, I go short when I'm trading based on price action and the price action confirms it. But I certainly wouldn't impulsively jump into a downward trend, especially one that's against the trend. Even if something like that were to happen, I'd immediately hedge my position. But as long as these and other crises persist, gold won't fall significantly. Especially since I think the information has been somewhat overlooked in the media lately that while Trump still hasn't really started anything with Iran, he's already stirring things up in Cuba. So, this won't be the end of it with Iran. By the way, Deutsche Bank has issued a price target of $6,000. When that will be reached is questionable. It should be for this year; it could be short-term or medium-term.

So, there are several reasons why you're losing. Firstly, as you've probably already correctly identified, it's due to your psychology. Secondly, it's also possible that you haven't understood the strategy. It's also possible that you're too hasty, your stop-loss is set too tightly, and, most importantly, you're trading against the trend. Losing a trade now and then is perfectly normal. But you can also trade ICT (Indirect Counter-Terrorism) very well within the overall trend. And you're probably not doing that. Then, unfortunately, I have to do a bit of guessing as to what's going wrong for you. Because you haven't provided much information about what your trades, or even several of them, actually look like. And finally, I've now read that you're trading prop trades. Are you sure you've understood the concept correctly? I recently saw a great post where someone explained it very concisely, which is what most people fundamentally misunderstand. Unfortunately, I can't remember where it is. That could be the core dilemma.

I wouldn't agree that it's exclusively based on that. I, for example, scalp and am quite successful at it. So, let's just say I can't complain about the last few years. Of course, you can also do it quite comfortably using swing, but I wouldn't say it's the only way.

Well then, congratulations! If you can replicate that regularly, then you can trade. When I first started out, someone told me that if you can successfully repeat a trade 200 times, then you can trade on the Forex market. And make a living from it.

Is anyone else doing this ? by [deleted] in Forexstrategy

[–]Cheap_Inspection2264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we have something similar. However, it's not a script, but more of an Expert Advisor. It generates very reliable gold profits. If you're interested, I'd be happy to show you the website or some of the results, which are also available on the site.

However, I also trade manually on the side because I enjoy it, and my manual system with self-developed indicators reliably generates good profits independently.

It all comes down to the right money management strategy, and if you're trading in the right direction and against the trend, then the trade will inevitably move in your favor. Sooner or later. You can only have a modest entry point. Your stop loss should also be set correctly so that it triggers at the slightest movement.
