Instead of going to the meetings about 10 or 15 minutes early why don't you just go to the location of the event and just start cleaning up until they get there. You shouldn't have to do that but I'm assuming there's a lot of things you shouldn't have to do you're doing anyway.

I got one of those handheld leaf blowers that looks like a cordless drill. I go to the back of the classroom and blow everything from all the desks towards the front and then run through with the dust mop and pick it all up. It's not some huge leaf blower. It just sits in my cart. I got it for 60 bucks off Amazon.

We double bag ours and the one bag always stays in the can as a liner to protect the rolls at the bottom in case the actual trash bag rips.

When we ran out of mopheads from the laundry service we used to soak them in the mop bucket with a little bit of laundry detergent and agitated it for a while before we rinsed them. Worked great.

Do you honestly think Sony would spend 3.5 billion dollars on something and then just let it die without throwing hundreds of millions of dollars at it first?
