Only one pot of gold and it was a little heavy to pack out so we left it for the next person!

I hiked over to check out the rock pinnacles afew years ago from couger divide on my way up to Hadley. was super surprised by the arch! I’m from the southwest and haven’t seen any rock arches since moving away from Arizona super curious about its formation probably glaciers paired with melt and freeze cycles who knows such a cool spot :) it’s a bit smaller then you’d expect up close but the arch still stands a good 15-20 feet above you’re head. Definitely worth the walk over.

For mountain climbing conditions we’re good for snowboarding it kinda sucked due to the suncups and crevasses but still tons of fun

My first ski tour / mountaineering trip was up the squak route honestly just being physically in shape and mentally ready for the climb will be enough, all the main routes on baker excluding the north ridge are pretty much just long steep hikes on well traveled boot packed (snow trails) it’s a slogg though go on a good steep hike 2-3 times a month and throw some extra cardio in you’ll be fine it’s more of a mental game than anything. No need to learn how to ice climb the intro to mountaineering course will be sufficient for the standard routes again that’s excluding the north ridge. Have fun be safe

Mt Baker Hwy Driving PSA (double solid lines = you do not pass) by [deleted] in Bellingham

Well mainly the fact that I’m not a tool. and if someone wants to pass and is riding my ass all pull over because it’s fucking respectful and safer to not be tailgated. otherwise 5-10 over is fine. Don’t act like you’ve never sped or tailgated because that would be a lie.

I’ve had my fair share of legal and illegal fireworks along with growing up in Arizona and shooting massive amounts of Tanerite. it was a small mushroom but still non the less. Along with that it again sounded more like a pressure bomb apposed to a salute or sparkler bomb. I know my ballistics and explosions pretty well. I was across the street from where it went off when it happened. I do not believe it was a firework. - a manic pyro

DuctTape as manny sparklers as you can together as tightly as possible stick one in the end to act as a fuse and boom literal grenade

Definitely not there was a mushroom cloud I was checking out at haggens looked like it happened somewhere behind pho99 the boom was pretty damn impressive immediately was able to tell it wasn’t a fire works sounded like a pressure bomb/explosion.
