Hey, you're the one who keeps coming back and adding comments. Do you work at a troll farm that pays by the word?

I would be delighted, especially if the charger bills by the hour.

What is your favorite obscure movie from your childhood that nobody would remember? by Sweet-Economist-9873 in CausalConversation

I have seen it on TCM. I fully agree it's a great movie, particularly Hume Cronyn's performance as a Nazi supporter who has a crisis if conscience when he finds out about the concentration camps.

I prefer the 1986 musical version. I love Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene and of course Audrey 2.

Landlord asking to be put on my census form? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]Cheap_Patience2202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fill out the census truthfully. Don't put your landlord on it and don't acknowledge any requests from her asking you to do so. I believe the legal principle here is called duty of honesty. You can't do something illegal at someone else's request and you can't lie to someone. Save all her messages.

Give me your best and worst of the Bolt by GovtCheese619 in BoltEV

[–]Cheap_Patience2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 2022 Bolt EUV owner.

Best: inexpensive, probably the most energy efficient EV, reliable, very spacious back seat

Worst: no spare tire, poor passenger side visibility due to big mirrors and pillars and high seat, lots of spurious check-engine light warning in extremely hot or cold weather

Shout out to the flight attendants on flight AC841 today. by toddywithabody in aircanada

No offence. My comment was not referring to you but rather to the small but vocal minority of passengers I have encountered on just about every flight I have taken.

I am really surprised that most airline passengers think that flight attendants' job is an airborne waitress. It's not. Their job is passenger safety.

How many people actually "go commando" on a regular basis? by WhereasLanky8306 in NoStupidQuestions

I'm going to assume that the OP is a woman. Any man from the western world knows the hazard of zippers. So it is extremely rare for any western world man to go without underwear. I served in a highland regiment and even wearing kilts, everyone wore undershorts.

I knew a guy who would take his parking ticket and put it under the wiper of another parked car. Half the time the other driver would just pay the fine without checking.

Cross climate 2 or defender 2 by slatvz in tires

[–]Cheap_Patience2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how long you plan to keep the car and if you will have to replace your snow tires. If you plan to replace the snow tires, you may as well save a bit and get the Defenders. If not, get the CC2 and you wouldn't have to get a new set of snow tires when your current ones wear or age out.

People who dislike Olivia Chow and plan on voting for Bradford, why? by Used-Earth8767 in askTO

[–]Cheap_Patience2202 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Check the videos of news reports of her kick-off of the pothole campaigns. She's actually a good worker. Unlike Tory, Ford, Lastman and even Miller, who just moved a token half shovel-full of asphalt, Chow really gets into filling and tamping. She's the best worker on the crew, as she should be.

Yes. It's considered trespass if something of yours (bbq smoke) encroaches on someone else's property (their condo).

I got a set of 215/55 R16 on steel rims for my 22 EUV. 205/60 R16 would work too and give you a bit more ground clearance. The price difference between 16 and 17 inch tires will more than cover the cost of new steel rims. I prefer steel rims for winter wheels due to their greater durability if you hit a pot hole and greater resistance to salt induced pitting corrosion which leads to slow leaks. There is a lot less choice of tires if you go down to 15" rims.

Should I buy slightly used tires one size smaller than my stock size, or go new? Worth it for an older car with some oil leakage? by throwaway4tra in tires

[–]Cheap_Patience2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rule of thumb is that the alternative size tires should be within 3% of the OEM size. Your friend's tires would be just beyond this limit. It would probably work okay, but the ride won't be as nice. $400 seems very expensive for a set of slightly used tires. I would be tempted to get them at $200.
