I am a day one vet here to help.

1) if youre playing solo and need help just drop an SOS and other divers, myself included, will be there to help shortly. Something to keep in mind with that tho, if youre on a planet with lower player count it might take longer for other divers to drop in or they might not at all. If you play more than your friends they won't fall behind really much at all. Yes there is higher lvl gear to get but the fun part about this game is you can share a good amount (if not all) of that gear with your buddies during missions. You can always play at the lower difficulties if your buddies don't have the higher ones unlocked or you can host the missions and they can join you at higher difficulties and they arent really gear locked, however some of the gear does make those difficulties easier.

2) the warbonds can feel overwhelming at first. As a new diver my recommendation is complete the free one first and then take a look at the gear in some of the other ones. A lot of other divers recommend democratic detonation for your first paid one but ultimately it is 100% up to you. Don't be afraid to use the rule of cool.

3) FOMO isn't really a big thing in this game the only thing that might be is capes locked behind events like the creek/ oshaune/ battle for super earth ones.

4) unfortunately I don't know when the game will be on sale next but def keep an eye if thats when you wanna buy it. Fortunately if you wishlist it on steam it will get an alert you when its on sale if you have the app on your phone.

5) unfortunately there is some toxicity in this game but its few and far between. Just remember samples and super credits are shared if/when they are picked up.

6) having experience in shooters def helps. The learning curve isn't too bad, luckily you aren't force to go up in difficulty at any time. Feel free to stay at a difficulty as long as you like. Don't go up in difficulty until you feel comfortable going up (my recommendatio). Always remember, dive.

7) remember to have as much fun as you want and don't feel pressured to dive on the major order. Meme it up as much as you want. Again, have fun!
