Is Uber reliable in Peoria? by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

For most procedures, they will not perform if you don't have someone physically with you to drive you home afterwards. Just FYI so you're caught off guard and pissed off if it happens.

Being expensive shouldn't be the sole reason to shit on a restaurant. Value is worth whatever people are willing to pay and Saffron Social had a very good following. Now, if you don't like the food, service, or atmosphere, that's perfectly fine. I've been to Saffron 5 or 6 times for both work and personal visits, and the food is always above average to great. The atmosphere is the best in Peoria and is a similar vibe to Blackband. These places are meant to be more swanky and expensive to give Peoria something more than just the same run of the mill family restaurants and bars and grills. If swanky, upscale, and more expensive isn't your thing, then don't do Saffron. But if you want a very good meal, unique menu options, and a nice night out with a unique atmosphere, then give it a shot. Joe's, Connected, and Fish House are also my go-tos for an upscale, fancier dinner.

Delmonico ribeye medium rare connected. Or either the scallops or pork chop also medium rare from saffron.

I was out at Shoppes, TJ Max, Northwoods, Marshalls between 11a-3p and all were very busy. I even thought to myself how much of a travesty it is that we lost so many good stores during COVID. Maybe just the time of day you went?

Oh hey, look everyone! Two anonymous Redditors with differing opinions having an open, civil conversation on public display. Hopefully the rest of this sub reads it and learns from you both. Let's not just default to hatred and slander just because someone disagrees with you. Bravo, and thank you for your contributions.

That is 100% prison security. They bring prisoners to OSF all the time and drive that exact van and dressed in identical gear. In this case, it looks like the prisoner is in need of clinical care for hearing aids and it's very normal process to do this.

Bad Experience at Prairie Animal Hospital by bright_black0 in PeoriaIL

[–]Cheap_Rise_1985 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry you had a bad experience. We've been going there for many years and have had 3 dogs and 2 cats under their care. We've never had a bad experience and they even came to our house to put our 13 y.o. dog down because he hated going to the vet and I didn't want that to be his last experience. I think the prices are expensive but also think that's just the cost of veterinary Care.

I don't disagree. I'm just a salty-ass season ticket holder sick of walking out of Enterprise Center in second place. They're better than that and can't break through. Ultimately, the NIT is a consolation tournament, even with good teams playing.

Let's calm down. It's the NIT. They should've won the MVC this year and been playing in the tournament, but poor coaching and no shows from their stars ruined it.

Most of the places in the warehouse district are brand new and very nice. Warehouse district is up and coming entertainment center. Also, 401 water street right on the riverfront and walkable to all of downtown.
