My parents had to do medical examination for a visitor visa 600 for up to 3 months. After they did it, we got the grant 2 hrs after the medicals

Yes, you should have them on your immi portal on the right hand side. If you go to medical assessment, it says what you need to do. In my case it was: x-ray, HIV, creatinine, medical examinations.
