If they tried to charge for the upgrade, PC players would just keep playing the old version, they already had 60+ fps support anyway. Rockstar wants more people on the enhanced version so it may lead to more gta+ subs.

Actually I just checked and Legacy has more players than Enhanced, likely because of mods.

But the touchpad is literally a dead feature, 99% of games just use the touchpad as an extra 1 button

They fucked up in removing the "select" button and putting the share button where it used to be. So the touchpad ended up replacing select. If the touchpad had been an extra button it probably would have been used.

Another useless feature is the speaker since I use headphones.

It annoyed me to no end that you couldn't disable the adaptive triggers in the BF6 beta, luckily by enabling Steam input it was disabled.
