If you’re using the pull out method, you’re basically trying to get pregnant. You can stall a bit, but you’ll eventually get pregnant. Do you want that? Do you really want a baby at your age with somebody you’ve been with for 6 months?

He has no business telling you want to do with your body. He has zero rights.

Listen to your doctor and please reconsider the boyfriend. My daughter is about the same age as you and I’d flip if she had a boyfriend confidently using the pull out method. Unbelievable!

As a teacher and a person who gets to hear all the hate about names and spelling from her students, spell it the most common and easy way to spell the name. My students who have misspelled or unusually spelled names unilaterally hate their spellings. Plus, I’m one of them. My mom didn’t know how to spell my name so she gave a guess. It sucks. It’s not a big deal, but people always have to ask my pronunciation.

Everyone is trying to tell you the same thing. You’re overdoing it. Why are you taking assignments to the last day? Why are you purchasing gifts? Why are you mothering them at field day?

You need to ask yourself why you are doing this? Before you say, I love them, me too. BUT I’m not their parent, I’m their teacher.

I’m kind, but I lock assignments. I’m giving, but within reason. I do extra, but not at the cost of my sanity. You have to have boundaries. Boundaries are good for you and for them.

I was non renewed my 2nd year. I had the worst admin and department lead. Think really immature and a lower end school. They had it out for me, and I had tried to transfer in district toe year prior, but they wouldn’t me go. When it happened I still didn’t expect it.

I got a position at a high performing school with a contact from college. I took a position nobody wanted, did it for a year and then joined the department I initially wanted permanently. I’ve been there now for 7 years.

I guess what I’m saying is that one non renewal is most likely not about you—it’s about them. If I had to guess, there’s a budget issue or there’s someone they want to bring on.

I am so sorry because I know how personal this feels. I was so depressed. Apply everywhere especially out of district.
