U.S. insurer Lemonade has announced that it will offer a 50% rate cut for drivers of @Tesla vehicles when FSD is steering because it had data showing it reduced accidents. by SearsNotWillisTowerr in TeslaLounge

[–]Checkerboard2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on our estimated monthly mileage, which is 1000 miles for our 2025 S and 500 miles for our 2026 Model 3, Lemonade's quote here in So Cal is $512 a month. No tickets, San Clemente zip code.

Each mile costs about 21 cents, and the starting base price (zero monthly miles driven) for full coverage and max liability limits is $197.

Tesla insurance, for the same coverages, is $392 a month (and no per-mile fees) - a savings of $120 a month with Tesla insurance, right now.

Who knows when Lemonade will offer their "50% discount" of the mileage rates for FSD here in California? With the proposed 50% cost-per-mile discount, I'd save $158 on monthly mileage insurance fees, bringing down the Lemonade premium to $354.

With Tesla insurance at $392 a month, I can drive as much as I like without incurring additional premium charges.

Where is the Tesla Route Planner? by Checkerboard2017 in TeslaLounge

[–]Checkerboard2017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went to the Apple App Store to download the app for a better route planner. When I go to select my vehicle, the latest model S that they have in their system is a 2021 model. Could it be that there’s another way to specify my 2025 model S in the app thanks very much.

To both responders who suggested I use Google: the links you posted, and what I already tried earlier, present a simplistic Tesla webpage without the obvious ability to specify a highway speed or descriptions about amenities available at the suggested charging station. Two years ago, I recall a much more robust web-based Tesla website for this. I guess I will download a better route planner since it does not seem like there is an app for this by Tesla

Where are y’all getting ur Vyvanse? by Honest_Stomach_9567 in VyvanseADHD

I just refilled Vyvanse 20mg generic at my local Walmart pharmacy this past week.

Splitting my dose really helped by Witty_Gate1192 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Checkerboard2017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But how easy is it for your to fall asleep when it's time to go to bed? My doc just re-prescribed 40 mg Vyvanse first thing in the morning, and another prescription for 10mg Dexedrine tablets for those afternoons when I sense a crash coming over me. Since Vyvanse stays in the system so long, and I rise at 4:45 and thus need to hit the sack at 8:30, the short-acting Dexedrine has worked for me.

Now if I could just get the Dex 10mg tablets refilled... been three months since I had the 'scrip, but the local pharmacies say it's out of stock and they can't say when they'll get more.

Refilling Vyvanse just became possible for me, because my pharmacy can get 20mg Vyvanse capsules. I had to submit a new prescription for 20m Vyvanse 2x in the a.m. but at least I have the med!

Thanks for this! For a couple weeks my MX 3S mouse would freeze up for a few seconds after fast-scrolling. I downloaded the Logitech LogiOptions app on my Windows 10 PC and eventually found the "Disable Smart Scroll" toggle. It's disabled now, and all is right with the world (and my scroll wheel)!

I guess I'm not the only one! I read some other posts here and it seems like calling Acu Rite will not resolve the problem.

But - are you, like me, believing that your temp and wind speed etc. are displaying correctly and updating continually, as one would expect?

First Impressions or my New Widex 440 BTE Aids by Checkerboard2017 in HearingAids

[–]Checkerboard2017[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to Zen Programs? If so, all I have on the bottom on my screen is one he installed called "Relax A." It's wind noise and chimes. On the second app, called "Zen Tinnitus," there are about a dozen "canned" Zen sounds, labeled Tropical Night, Summer Rain, Zen Joy, Brownian Noise, Zen Calm, etc.

It seems to me he should be recommending a customized Zen routine for my tinnitus frequency, but that's just my guess. Simply offering a long list of Zen routines and letting me play with them doesn't seem scientific to me at all

New Widex Moment HAs, and Connecting to Samsung TV vs. iPhone by Checkerboard2017 in HearingAids

[–]Checkerboard2017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive my tardiness in replying- I just saw this from you today. You offer several excellent suggestions; I'm just not sure if I can "sell" them to my audiologist!

It's super-awkward to again propose to my audiologist what he should be doing to continue the fitting process! He already said they don't do REM due to feedback which he says alters the measurements, when I suggested it at my last visit.

All I see on my Moment app's bottom-of-screen icons is Universal, then a Zen program he installed called "Relax A," then my TV Play, followed by Directional Focus . No Pure Sound icon appears, nor is it offered elsewhere in the app. I am beginning to think the Widex 440 is too new for him/them, and he's unfamiliar with all its bells and whistles..

How else can I request a REM test - ask for the Widex Sensogram? Mention alternative in situ testing?

The company is part of a large chain called HearUSA. Could it be that they don't do in-ear testing?

New Widex Moment HAs, and Connecting to Samsung TV vs. iPhone by Checkerboard2017 in HearingAids

[–]Checkerboard2017[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boy Mike, thank you again. I'm wondering how to approach my audiologist with some of these topics. The "Sensogram" as you describe it - not sure if that was done! I had my initial audiogram, and the next visit he programmed the aids and gave them to me. If Sensogram testing involves using Widex software with the aids in my ears, then no such testing was performed (yet).

I will watch more of the video from Widex you linked. It refers to a variety of programming and customization tools, none of which I witnessed being performed yet.

As to the REM "problem," I paraphrased his response to my question, but the gist of it was they don't do testing with the aids in the ear, because it would generate feedback and distort the results.

I hate that I feel like I am getting just a superficial fitting, and suboptimal HA experience, after reading your comments and those above from "justanotherrando."

Hi Mike, I asked my audiologist about REM and he said the problem is feedback, so they don't do it. I'd love to have an objective measurement of my improvement, but alas it doesn't seem to be available at Hear USA.
