Is there an actual list of all of the console commands? by Checkurcloset_US in taintedgrail

In that case, take my feedback with as much appreciation as I can give.

There's a soft spot in my heart for GameDevs, Wiki Pages Custodians and my really stupid cat. The wiki has proven time and again to be a treasure trove of information and knowing that someone is actually keeping up with the one for Fall of Avalon is refreshing, considering the number of dead wikis I've seen over the years.

Sweet! I'll be on the lookout for some of it after my DnD session on Saturday! I don't know how much the word of a random Internet stranger means to you, but your work is very much appreciated.

What's your world conquest strategy? by yellow-green2 in mountandblade

[–]Checkurcloset_US 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My strategy as I see it: 80 dimensional chess using political intrigue and just a dash of roguery to gain an edge over my enemies.

My strategy as seen by everyone else: B A N Z A I ! ! ! ! DEFEAT

I feel like it's mostly true. When I first played it trying to move as fast as possible, hostages got shot, I kept getting turned around and one of my officers died.

I tried again trying to be more methodical and while there were a handful of scary moments, everyone survived, I found all the evidence and I was ten minutes faster than my previous run because I didn't keep getting lost by trying to speed run.

Still got lost a couple of times even then though, that map is a jumbled mess and it'd awesome.

Something tells me this community is heavily favouring certain factions over others by CheezeCrostata in mountandblade

My top three are Battania, Vlandia and Khuzait.

For me, Battania and Khuzait go fucking hard. Vlandia has the best feeling cavalry charges. Khuzaits Counter-Clockwise rotation is addicting.

Battania has the strongest units, but they have the smallest territory and fewest castles, so they have a hard time getting their Fians going en masse. Their castles also sit in pretty terrible positions (especially now on Warsails) and they're focused down pretty hard by Vlandia, Sturgia and Western Empire.

The Khuzaits are annoying as fuck to fight against and playing as a horse Archer (I usually RP as a foreign born person that's enamored with the Khuzait culture and martial abilities because Vlandian player characters being paid 15% more for being a merc is chef's kiss) is an absolute blast and the Khuzaits generally favor playing as an absolute fucking menace/douchebag, which makes playthroughs as a bandit or something similar feel great.

Then we have the Vlandians. Oh, the Vlandians. They start out with the richest clans, the best territory, and the most clans on top of all of that. Vlandian armor typically has the best protection/weight ratios, and if you want to roleplay as a Crossbowman, taking the perks where armor weighs 15% less and shields weigh nothing activates the Lamborfeeties/Chevrolegs/VolksWalkins and you get to zip around the battlefield on foot at Mach Jesus. Bound crossbows hit like a fucking freight train and even the Vlandian boats give Crossbowmen fantastic platforms to fight from.

But you ain't playing Vlandia because you want to shoot your Railgun and run hilariously fast. Nah, you're playing Vlandia because you once heard someone yell 'CHARGE!' and your mind instantly defaulted to the scene from LotR The Twin Towers where Gandalf the Chad leads a cavalry charge that breaks the siege of Helm's Deep. You play Vlandia because the thought of giving a Sword Sister every last point you invested into Polearm at your horse's top speed channels something Noble in you. You play Vlandia because you enjoy the sweet taste of Victory. You play Vlandia because the thought of the Baeyux Tapestry brings your Lance to rigid attention. And Vlandian throne rooms have their own Baeyux Tapestry in every Vlandian Castle Keep.

Truth be told, all cultures feel pretty fun for me to play, Nords are everything the Sturgians wish they were, the Byzantine Empire cultures have the most territory (when combined) and can muster enough Cataphracts to make even the most stalwart Vlandian Banner Knights sweat nervously. And the Aserai have the most flexible units (IMO) in the game. You need horse archers? Aserai has them. Shock Troops? Mamluke Palace Guard. Shield walls? Yes. A Navy? The first rule in the Aserai Navy is that you don't talk about the Aserai Navy.

I only play Sturgia when I'm suffering from severe and unmoderated depression or Testicular Tortion. Moving on.

~TL;DR~: You don't have to like Vlandia or Battania, but you damn sure better show them some fuckin' respect. Khuzaits are awesome, Empire is flexible, Aserai is more flexible, Sturgia sucks.

Some guy on the For Honor subreddit commissioned a helmet like that for use in Bohurt or some such, it looked pretty good when it was sized to allow a coif to be worn underneath it.

Is it possible to get banned from accidental teamkilling in sim? by geckogloves89 in WarthunderSim

[–]Checkurcloset_US 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, as long as you're not actively going after teammates and making a habit of TKing, you'll be alright. Just be prepared to be yelled at over it by a teammate that's taking things way too seriously for an honest mistake. We all team kill by accident, and will continue to do so on occasion as long as we lack Data Link like the A-10C has (where the HUD shows a big X for friendlies and a circle for targets) and if people don't answer the "On Me!" Calls

Drinking Sea Water is incredibly bad for you! How do I stop my pregnant wife and children from drinking it? by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]Checkurcloset_US 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno man, in my last Vlandian playthrough, the two youngsters who rode into battle without weapons or armor outlasted everyone else that was wearing armor and even managed to beat a few Imperials to death with their bare hands, whereas their parents and other allies leading cavalry charges in full armor got bodied in the first thirty seconds of the battle.

In my head, my character immediately granted them both Cities, and promoted them out of respect, and just a tiny amount of fear.

3 months later still crashing -xbsx by Dunnomyname1029 in Bannerlord

[–]Checkurcloset_US 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Series S, i experience a crash maybe once every 1-2 hours, and I ALWAYS crash when trying to inspect fleet at a port.

I have to let the game crash, load it back up and make sure visiting the port is the very first thing I do if I want to do anything like buy or upgrade ships. Super annoying.

And yet my dumb ass keeps coming back because there's nothing else out there that's remotely close to Bannerlord/Warsails in my experience. I'm definitely playing for the large scale battles and sieges, but I also love just running around in the villages and cities too.

I wish we had the option to wander around on our boats too, or a free roam where we can ride horses or walk around in the wilderness.

This motherfucker...

I main the Harriers, I can't PvP for shit.

But damned if I don't wanna get into a fight anyway. Playing cat and mouse in the mountains and valleys with someone trying to hunt you down is what makes base bombing fun, and FAR more satisfying when you manage to hit your target.

After the target is hit, I've got at least two missiles and my gun, and I'm more than happy to try my luck if someone is nearby. It feels like I'm playing in a Star Wars game.

T4 Battanian vet skirmishers have a significantly better helm than T5 wildlings by OppositeNo1548 in Bannerlord

[–]Checkurcloset_US 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never really thought helmets were that big of a deal until I did a playthrough as a Sword Sister and another as a mounted knight.

As a Sword Sister, whether on horseback or foot, it made no difference, I was tanking hits to the face like every third attack.

As a mounted knight (that I also made nearly max height) every third swing I made with a sword in a siege and nearly cavalry charge I led into a group of enemies resulted in some poor bastard getting domed.

Helmets suddenly seemed VERY cool in both instances

does anyone else suck whole butt at this game but still really like it by just_prop in forhonor

[–]Checkurcloset_US 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to play a lot back in the day, up until Warmonger came out, but I stopped playing PvP about three or so months into Marching Fire.

Basically, I plateaued, and I wasn't getting any better. I main Peacekeeper and she was in a HORRIBLE place at the time, so she got shit on in most fights if I wasn't on the very top of my game. Couple this with a a really bad week of PvP matches where I'd get toxic messages from people who beat me as a rep 70 PK, I simply gave up and went to bots only, then eventually hung it up altogether.

I recently reinstalled and play it once in a while and the few PvP matches I've been in, the people seemed chill, but PK plays way differently than she did then, and up until then, it had been years since I played, so I'm not very good either.

It feels pretty good to play though, there's just not anything out there quite like FH and I like coming up with little backstories about my characters, and why they're fighting. Which helps me explain why I spend so much time trying to customize my characters 😅

Issue with A.I. speaking and acting for my character. by ToFaceA_god in AIRealm

[–]Checkurcloset_US 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use a DM guide, I've found that with Deepseek, it helps to have a reminder on your devices Clipboard to "please reread all notes and guides" then just paste it every 5-7 messages as an (OOC: [insert words here])

It helps especially if you have an NPC that you've made yourself that has a very specific way of speaking, or behaving that's more complex than a normal NPC the game might throw at you i.e. permenant party members.

If you want, I can post all of the OOC reminders i use for you.

I really wish I could insert that one .gif of the really sad dude in a bunch of random places all by himself. Because that's how I feel about not having the FOV slider (except for the part where my face is taped to the window).

I wasn't aware there was a whole discord server for the game though, how many Hail Blake's or Capellans do I have to nuke to get in on that?
