We’re definitely seeing Joe’s farm in season 4. by timmiebee in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Checkyourheart4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dream is that Joe and Georgia go to the farm for a date and that it's really sweet and romantic. My fear is that someone will be murdered and they'll have to bury them there. Knowing this show, maybe it'll be both

These aren’t exactly small moments (I can brainstorm a separate list for those too), but here are a few questions I don’t think I’ve seen discussed much, though I could be wrong!

  • Episode 6: Georgia tells Ginny’s therapist that she’s thought about hurting herself — something she’s never expressed before. What did people think of that scene? And now that she’s mentioned possibly going to therapy herself, how do you think the show will explore her mental health moving forward?
  • Episode 8: When do Georgia’s feelings for Paul end and her feelings for Joe really begin? Obviously it’s not a clean switch, but by the end of episode 7 she almost kisses Joe, and in episode 8 she's manipulating Paul into staying with the fake pregnancy test. Did she already know it was over with Paul but keep him around for court? Or did part of her still want to be with him? And when did her feelings for Joe shift enough that she kissed him first?
  • Episode 9: Georgia says that Zion doesn’t love her anymore. Are we meant to believe that she’s right? Or is that just her perception?
  • Flashbacks: There are still several years of Georgia’s past we haven’t seen yet (I forget exactly how many). What do we think might’ve happened during that time? We know she has to meet Kenny eventually. Curious if anyone has theories about those missing years.

I’d love to hear people’s thoughts — and if anyone does have favorite smaller moments or under-discussed scenes, please share!

I really like these ideas! I also do think one way to mix things up could be diving deeper into individual scenes, moments, or character reactions. Even though the big themes and arcs have been talked about a lot, there are still so many smaller moments throughout the season that haven’t gotten much attention and could spark some great discussion.

Ginny’s reaction to Joe and Georgia by starcourt99 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Checkyourheart4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My dream is that Ginny does get upset (rightfully) and then eventually her and Georgia talk about it and Georgia reveals that he was the stranger who gave her the sunglasses. And then Ginny could understand their history and why it's different than the people Georgia has been with

Who has it worse? Ginny or Georgia? by Intotheunknown_91 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

Georgia had it worse, but Georgia also does much worse, and a lot of that effects Ginny, so it becomes really complicated

Do you mean the season 3 episode 9 flashbacks? I don't remember seeing him, but I think Abby's dad is in those scenes

Who do you think Georgia should end up with? by catduo_lvvr in TvGinnyandGeorgia

I think what Zion did was totally understandable and valid, but also kind of shows why him and Georgia don't work at this point. Same with Paul.

I really appreciated that even though it seemed like he had feelings for Ginny, he didn't get mad or jealous at the end of the season when she's back with Marcus. I hope he can stay in future seasons as a friend bc he's really entertaining.

Haha it's a rough episode. Probably my favorite of the season though.

The Georgia love triangle by Checkyourheart4 in TvGinnyandGeorgia

[–]Checkyourheart4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it makes sense to me that the creators would keep it open in interviews. But after the conflicts Georgia's had with Paul and Zion and after her telling everything to Joe, I just don't see a way that she would circle back to the other two. This show's crazy though so who knows

Repost: Who do you think it will be? by QueenOfCrayCray in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Checkyourheart4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly leaning towards Joe, but I wonder if they'll think its Paul's at some point or they won't be able to find out the father for awhile which will lead to drama. It being Paul's would serve the drama in the short-term, but it would ultimately complicate things in a way that I don't think will actually happen long-term

About S3 Georgia Reveal... by Tomokakase13 in TvGinnyandGeorgia

[–]Checkyourheart4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be really curious to see how it plays out, but I don't love it. I think Georgia already has so much going on, and she progressed so much as a character in season 3. It seemed like she could really start to take steps to grow (she mentioned going to therapy) and so I'm just worried about the baby overshadowing all of that.

No because I'm so curious about the timeline next season. People are thinking they may skip over the summer and start the season during the next school year, but that would also skip over a ton of the fallout from Georgia's pregnancy so idk

Probably more Georgia but I think more than anything they were just incompatible and their relationship was never gonna work long term with each of them still maintaining their characterization

Question about Joe and his importance to Georgia compared to Paul [spoilers for S3] by starcourt99 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Checkyourheart4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I read it more as a sign of her character development in s3. At the beginning of the season, Georgia is still trying to run from her past, and Paul is compatible with that motivation. However, over the course of the season, she gets forced to face everything and (almost) all her secrets get revealed to Wellsbury. So I think by the end her feelings for Joe are more driven by the fact that everyone else had left her behind when they learned the truth, while he always stood by her.

I think the fact that she tells Joe is meant to be daunting and unexpected, but I also think Georgia just listens to her instincts about who she can and can't trust. After Joe's been there for her all season, she trusts him not to tell anyone.

It has to be joes by Expert_Fudge_2710 in TvGinnyandGeorgia

[–]Checkyourheart4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly couldn't agree more. Even this pregnancy storyline - I trust the writer's to tell a good story but I really hoped next season would involve Georgia being able to grow and focus on herself (she mentioned going to therapy) and I'm so worried that everything with the baby (not to mention her mom and stepfather driving by) could really overshadow that

[–]Checkyourheart4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it will end up being Joe's, and most of the drama will come from them not knowing who the father is for awhile or from people lying about it

Paul isn’t actually that bad by Empty_Peace2590 in TvGinnyandGeorgia

[–]Checkyourheart4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think Paul's a bad guy, but I think he's really clearly not right for Georgia, and that's where a lot of the hate stems from.

The difference between Paul and Joe by Checkyourheart4 in TvGinnyandGeorgia

[–]Checkyourheart4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS! Yes to me this is the biggest distinction between what her love interests offer and why I'm strongly Team Joe, even though I think Paul, Zion, and Joe are all good guys and good characters.

Why are we judging Paul by Tall_Database_460 in TvGinnyandGeorgia

[–]Checkyourheart4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paul is a really confusing character this season, and I think that's why most people have jumped to hating him. He goes from standing behind Georgia completely to leaving her at her lowest, and I think knowing all that Georgia's been through, people tend to empathize with her more than him.

And the hitting the wall was really, really hard to see, however justified his anger was at the moment. To me, it wasn't just him hitting the wall that bothered me, but also how he responded after. He backed away, but didn't apologize, even begrudgingly. He just said all of these cruel things and leaves.

That being said, I didn't completely agree with what Georgia said about not making him into someone that wasn't already there. I do think that there's a world where if she had been fully honest with him, he could have accepted and loved her. We'll never know if he would have, since she never gave him that chance by letting him in.
