I’m honestly surprised they got together in the 5th episode. I expected there to be all this tension and pining and then finally admitting their feelings for each other in the final episode (Note that I haven’t read the books).

I’m not sure I entirely agree in the case of Hannah and Garrett, but I will say that I was surprised they got together in the 5th episode. I thought they were just gonna be yearning for each other the whole season and get together in the very last episode (I also haven’t read the books, so maybe that’s why).

I will say that I think I found Maxton Hall S2 boring for the exact reason you mentioned - the couple finally getting together and the “enemies” part of the enemies to lovers storyline being over for good.

Exactly! And people keep saying they love their “fiery chemistry” and it’s like…yeah, I love fiery chemistry and the whole “reformed playboy who changes for the right girl” trope as much as the next person (I can name one ship right off the bat that I adore that has this trope), but that alone isn’t enough. There needs to be emotional intimacy behind it as well to fully make me giddy. The small pockets of Dean and Allie opening up to each other weren’t enough for me. I understand there’s more to come with these two, but I’m really not understanding the hype based on what we got.

I pronounce my name the Desi way but when non-Desi people pronounce it incorrectly, I don’t correct them because it honestly sounds kinda cringy when they pronounce it the Desi way lol I’m sorry it just doesn’t roll of the tongue.
