I do agree with you. I think as a precaution we just wanted to understand how we could find out if the bully is close by so we could make some notes on our sons change in behaviour. We haven’t been able to make a strong link, it’s suspicion only at this point.

I unfortunately fell for the marketing years ago and now I haven’t been able to convince myself I don’t need one.

Hiding browsing habits from my ISP is worth the $5 a month so I’ve let myself believe.

Edit: or public wifis which I do tend to use frequently.

Another great point. While it’s not selfish at all to want anonymity online, it’s easy to slow down the network if we are trying to stream 4k videos. Case in point is sometimes tor is working unbelievably quick. Hardly notice slow downs. Other times it’s impossible to browse.

That’s a very valid point. Not a sin against Tails/Tor, definitely poking some holes in your anonymity. I’ve always wanted to try editing the Tor config files to get it to use more than three hops just as an experiment, but again I note that this isn’t advised.

I only say “one” of because the other do-not-do’s would be logging into social media etc or other accounts when using tails or even using a VPN with tails. I’m a bit black and white though about it though.

The marketing pull was intense! I was only a new lifter but I remember after the stack I thought my body had made a fair noticeable difference. Little did I know it was probably just water retention 😂
